Aisha - I had my hair yuko’d at the Toni & Guy academy in Covent Garden, London…it cost just under 350 pounds 
You can get your hair coloured a minimum of two weeks after yuko which is what I am doing next week.

They charged $300 to do my long hair (waist length)... just to give you a sense of the price. And they did as good a job at the pricier places.
You could go to fancier places but then they charge a lot lot more.

My hair look like the that in the after picture without any straightening :D but i want hair which have this blow dried kind of a look and my mother has it Sigh!

today i went to couple of japanes salon in houston, and they are chargin me $140.00 for my japaness straightning isn't that cheap and i have long hair. and she said its gona take around 4-5 hours and the other salon said 2 hours, now im like real confuse dont know which one to go to. and one guy said since i have split end, color hair i really have to extra care for my hair after straighting,, does anyone know any good salon in houston, cuz when i was in chicago it cost around $500... confuse...??? should i go ahead try it or keep lookin out 4 more salon....

Cyme, if you are getting your hair straightened from an apprentice (not a full artist or whatever they are called), they charge you alot less. I am in chicago and about to get my hair thermally straightened for $140 as well (The Trio Salon). My sis got it done from a full artist and it cost her $750

so whats different, is it the same work or not, cuz i really dont want to damage my hair. and one more question, after u get ur hair straightned when ur hair grows back do u need to do it all over again the whole hair or just the top regrowth hair..

Like with most things, there's many different versions of japenese hair straightening hence the wide range in price variations for it. Yuko is considered the best of these processes - dunno why but I think it's something to do with it being a very intensive conditioning treatment for your hair too.
Cyme - you just need to get your regrowth done as and when you need it. They say to go back for regrowth every 4 months or so but I usually let mine grow out totally and then have the whole lot done again. That way none of your hair gets treated twice which is what can cause the breakage that people are so scared of.
