jamavar lining of the dupatta

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

marry poppins, u can do it either way. get it urself or ask the person making it to do it.

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

really ? how many yards/meters do i need ? and what is cheaper get it made by a darzi or buy it by myself?

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

buy the fabric and get the patti made separately and give it to the tailor to stitch it on. keep in mind, just for the dupatta it is about 9 metre long if u put it end to end.
when these guys are doing it, they ask for too much fabric.

the darzi should buy the material and do this for you, just tell him, he'll take into account the contrst colour and do it from there. or u can buy ur own and give it, but think its cheaper if darzi gets there own material and they just charge u for what they have used xxxx

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

yeah but then you really have to trust the darzi- his idea of a good contrast colour might not match yours. so i think its probably better to buy your own and give to them.

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

I loove jamavar lining of the dupatta, it looks so fantastic!

I was going to suggest dark green but you said no green, so I think a hot pink would look great, or a royal blue or a deep purple

noo my skin is bad i had to photoshop some scars out!

No way, you look fantastic in all your pictures mashallah. You have beautiful skin, such a great tone!

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

your valima eye makeup is really well done, pf! kudos to your MUA.

i think red and black could also look really 80’s, bride2be. it depends on the kaam and all of that. is it a very thick border?
someone here suggested copper… how about that or just gold, tone on tone? it would look very dressy and classic.

i was thinking this kind of purple, so its a bit lighter than eggplant, if you don’t want to go that dark… but im also posting the pic of the red with yellow to show that cos i think it looks really fresh and contemporary.

zomgosh, PakiFairy, you look absolutely stunning. Great makeup and I loooove the hair for the valima. I kinda had that for both days as well, I'm not to fond of the flat hairstyle. =/

And I had hunter green as my sharara color for my valima, with an off white/cream color for the shirt and dupatta, I liked it better than my shaadi outfit. lol. Sigh.

orangedasy- your valima outfit sounds superb :). do you have pictures?? i'm thinking of going with either peach or green for my valima. if i go with peach, would a hunter or bottle green patti look wierd??

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

not necessarily. i saw one bride using a light green with peach and hers was stunning.

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

WWow both ur valima n wedding pic are gr8 u look just CLassy

Re: jamavar lining of the dupatta

u knw whatt… ur nose is so beautiFUL:wub:

ooooooh my goooooooooooooood... PF you look so much like her :S

If it's a bright red, then burnt orange would look nice. Or even a matte gold/dull gold jamavar lining.
