girls, i am trying to figure out what colour jamavar should I get for lining the dupatta and the rest of the outfit. the colour of the outfit is a deep red. its not on the maroon or pink or orange side. its a pure red.
i’m completely fed up of the ferozi (turquoise) with red combo and dark green with red.
any other ideas?
if you have any pics, that would be really helpful for visualizing.
this gal used a red lining for a peach lehenga.
basically i need to figure out 2 things:
-what colour to use for the inside lining and
-what colour to use for the applique (the border of cloth on which kaam is done and attached to the dupatta).
not sure if i should use the same colour for both or not…
the cloth as i said is red, the kaam is a mix of dull gold and copper zari, pearls, silver edged white stones… so sort of looks like a mix of silver, gold, copper.
third thing i need to figure out is stones:
i want to add some non-metallic colour to the whole kaam so i am thinking of adding a coloured stone to the kaam, perhaps in the booti being used in the spray.
any suggestions for colours?
You have a lot of options to choose from in terms of an accent color. If i were you, i would use the same colored stones as the applique or the border. With a pure red you could either do an offwhite or gold or maybe an orange or shocking pink even. I personally really like teh blue or bottle green accent on red though.
red and eggplant go really well together, as do red and saffron yellow, or red and burnt orange. there are many different shades of green - if you're sick of emerald green, try a brighter chartreuse, maybe? or a seafoam green which is sort of like a blue-green mix. you could also keep it red but do a patterned/textured trim ... like red on red jamavar. and as odd as it sounds, red and a dark pink, like a magenta, would also look really pretty together.
i'd keep away from the colored stones and insert small diamantes into the kaam instead. they sparkle and are super pretty and since your outfit is such a rich color with probably an equally rich accent color, adding a colored stone on top might be overkill.
Pakifairy - the magenta and turquoise combo is so lovely and vibrant. Loveeee the jhumkay... You look beautiful!! I'm curious - why didn't you go with turqoise eye makeup? I just love turqoise on eyes so i thought i'd ask ...
pakfairy i love ur make up!! i got a jamavar lining tooo its purple...i was a bit unsure of it at first but i lovee the results it luks gorjus with the maroon & brings it out more..i wud def recommend it but it shud hv sum relation to ur lehnga (so it cant b any random colour) if u like the antique luk go for copper- its dull but it luks gorjus x

pf are you wearing false lashes?
if those are real, then wow.
if not, then girl, i really need to know where did you get them from?
normally, i hate false lashes simply because they look so absolutely fake.
with my skimpy lashes, i would love to have a more fuller look for the big day, but not at the risk of looking like a clown!
:P

thank you!
actually they are part false part real. instead of using the strip of false lashes which can look fake the makeup artist applied individual lashes to the sparse areas and the outercorners. have you r makeup artist do this instead of the full strip@!
