The real star of the show was haroons guitarist, mizraable! That guy is a REAL musician! not like the other opening acts tarz paro raabi etc! He knows his music!
oh so that was mizraable...never knew that. Just saw him playing and yeah he was superb. He played for Shehezad too last year at his fundraising dinners.
And i sttill thought tarzz did pretty good for a new paki band that too a US based one.
But yes rabi and Paro were miserable. The funny part was that Rabi had my brother on the drums who doesnt know a word about playing drums. And paro's fake jewelry looked so bad like her performance. Why do they perform ajeebogareeb type dances and expect the guys to droole over them which they were doing anyways.
thanks bollybuster. Actually young people in Chicago quite like farhan. he's become quite famous among girls (of course) as well as guys. Most of the people were there for jal performance only.
they havent forgotten atif though. And I am sure he'll get many audiences when he'll be here in august with RDB.
rukhsar, didn't you hear. Jal is coming to atlanta. They added a couple more shows and atlanta is one of the cities being added. And atif is coming too. :D
thanks rukhsar. I am sorry to hear jal wont be in atlanta. I'll get atif pics too if i'll go to that one.
atlanta: well it wasnt a real big one. It was kinda wierd place for a concert and was more appropriate for soccer matches, with the sitting area on the sides and just plain floor infront of the stage. but then when all these youngsters got together it looked like a big crowd and plus people came for jal only.
There was a HUGE crowd in the same venue (odean) back in 2003 for Stereo Nation/Junoon but the turnout on this was really dissapointing. Its actually an ice hockey arena I think. The CT concert was worse, only 90-100 ppl showed up. Ppl need to support these organizers or they wont bring the artists back.
i know yar.. chicago is not one of the attractive venues for our artists these days…
the last three concerts that i went to (Strings, junoon and now this Jal concert)… all of those had low attendence… i thought Jal would break the jinx…
nonetheless, the concert was great… jal and tarzz did gr8
