am i going to hell according to ur beliefs?
you said any religion....so i take the liberty to contribute from my side also. For past few months, i have been thinking, researching trying to learn about every other religion on earth. So from what ever i know, with full confidence i will say--Dont worry, nothing will happen. there is nothing called as hell or heaven. You are the maker of your own destiny, nothing else can.
Besides, i would also like to say this. Followers of every religion in this world, have thoroughly screwed their faiths(I am also including my own birth faith). The current practice of all of them is a load of crap. I have drawn the good things that are there in every faith and also by my own intuition and have made my own new faith.

I call it empathy. The golden rule. Religious morals do not have anything to do with the way I act and the things I do. Morals are shaped by society as a whole, not from religion. People existed long before religion and weren't all those things. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. Morals keep society healthy and on a steady course, good or bad. Societies that lost their moral way (read Romans for example) soon were lost in the dustbin of history. If your religion says it's ok to kill an unbeliever or to treat unbelievers like dog crap under your boot, then is it morally right? I'd say no because m persoanl beliefs forbid me from acting that way, not because I've read a holy book.

As for people being there before religion. Not so, Adam worshipped Allah and so on... it was evil that was introduced by us. e.g. the tradition of killing started by Adams son.

existence of heaven & hell is a necessary outcome of the philosphy of justice as somewhere the mathematical equations governing the sufferings of humans have to be balanced otherwise we will have to believe that this is not a just world. if you do not believe so please go ahead on your way.
If you are asking a MUSLIM response than yes, Oneness of Allah (God) is absolute requirement.
This statement comes from every one except a muslim. You would rarely find muslims calling such for Islam however every other religion seems to be a magnet for such praise.
I failed to understand here that if you have a religion of your own than you should have a paradise and a hell of your own too. Because the paradise and hell you are talking about belongs to Allah :swt: and to enter paradise or hell you either follow what Allah :swt: commanded us[not just the above you mentioned] or you do not follow Allah :swt: commands and thus enter hell.
And be careful of how you put things. Muslims do not believe in "the oness of God and the Prophet". We believe in the "oneness of God, and that the Prophet is God's messenger".

As for your statement that every person takes that which suites their purposes, that is not so. Not everyone does that. .
Well so far my calculation and first hand experiences proves that including my self are ppl who has chosen parts of religion to follow..watever suits to their needs and watever sounds reasonable to them.

How did u get to know about allah and judgement day prior to following religion..and then it came down using it as a guidline......believing in judgement day and God is not islam only ,its every religion teaching....but thats not the only thing a religion has to offer.... So u want me to follow exactly wat Islam asked us to follow .....after seeing wats going on in Iraq.....more than 200 ppl were killed in the month of Ramadan by non other than but the follower of the same religion....same thing in pakistan shia sunni tension----same thing in sudan,somlia....... A person who thinks he can make his own religion (and subconsciously afraid he is going in wrong direction) can be of such bad logic to judge a religion by its criminal "followers"? I am sure George W Bush is proud today that he is better than someone.
what exactly do you have in mind by posting the details of your religion and initiating a debate?
Just remember one thing that Muslims may be bad but Islam is not, Taking cue from the logic by Dr Zakir Nayak, Mercedez Benz S500 is an excellent car but in the hands of a careless driver it may get smashed to a wall and remain only worth few bucks. so for that you have to see it in the hands of the Best Driver and we Muslims believe it was Hazrat Muhammad Sallalah-u-alaiyhe-wasalm. If you are in search of truth about Islam, do not ask me or someone else, read about him in your own time, otherwise if you believe you know the best and your religion is not for professing why waste the time. i would advise other fellow Muslims also not to waste time on this debate.
Where in Islam does it say it is okay to kill a fellow believer, actually if two believers fight each other and one manages to kill the other, then both of them are in hell according to Islam. Islam is the religion that tells you to sheath or cover your arms when you walk through the market place,so you wont hurt someone. Mazhar said it best, do not look at the people. Look at the religion, not the people. Following people unless they are rightly guided, and there are few of those, is never a good idea.
Follow what you like. But get your facts straight.
