My self made religion only applies to my self …no one else. I believe in humanity… I believe in parents respect( ultimate goal of my life). I believe in helping people who r in need. Care for other human more than u care for ur self I believe in every single thing which makes a human ------> HUMAN
So all those religion holders from any religion my question is
** am i going to hell according to ur beliefs?
please read Quran and see how Allah has already answered your question. You are not the first one to claim their "own" religion .. so I am sure none of us need to answer you .. you can read the answer from Allah(SWT) directly.
u have to have faith out of ur own accord or u are faithless. u were created by someone, a higher being. & u are are bound in a system, like other humans and life forms.
what matters to the heart & soul which u possess,& all that reaches the human mind, in differentiating right from wrong is wired in us, by someone.
this nature, the earth u walk on, people, animals, plants u come in contact with & natural resouces u use are created by someone.
that someone, also gave u a religion to follow.
u cannot create ur own religion.
think again!

What difference does it make what others believe in. There can be 10 different answers of your question according to the person answering the question based on what that person believes in.
The main thing is what do you believe in beyond a shadow of doubt.
^ yes, but one still needs to differentiate between ethics and religion....
ethics is one of the core components of all religions, but not an entire religion on its own...
O yeah..... if thats the case islam took the idea from christians and christian took it from jews.......
Okay now be kind enough to explain ..it to me.... cuz i believe u can never follow any religion if u dont have any human qualities......
*I totally agree with u and believe ethics r the first step to follow any religion.......cuz to follow any religion like i said before u have to have a human touch *
Let me clerify i'm not preaching my religion so there a difference.....my religion is only for my self....cuz unlike other religion i dont have to start a crusade to make people to follow my thoughts...i dont have to get guidance from any other religion to shape up my ideas.
All i am saying nobody practices their religion 100%. They pick out stuff off of their religion which ever suits their desires and needs. So in that case every body follow their own made up religion and relate their self with a bith given religion.

With all due respect, what you have stated is not the essence of religion. These statements are devoid of an Aqidah or Creed hence not a religion. What you have stated are the peripherals of any religion but not a belief.
I totally disagree with u cuz to me religion teachs us ethics..... i can give u an example ,Quresh use to bury their daughters (every body knows this story),islam taught them the difference of good n bad.And they stopped. Religion is not understanding God, religion is understanding the way of life according to GOD's set rules.
You don't need 1 billion people to follow the same set of beliefs as you to believe in 'religion'. You don't need a book of do's and dont's written by someone else to validate your own philisophy. But if you don't believe in a higher power, it is more of a philsophy then a religion.

Yes LB..but almost every person I have met or spoken to who claimed they did not believe in organized religion, admitted praying to a Higher Power in times of trials.
So the same question that you asked "If you believe without a shadow of a doubt"..
seems like there will always be doubt when man defines/invents/ makes something from logic. I mean why even beleive in ethics? because the laws will hold you accoutable? Well who came up with the laws ? man? ok then why is every man made law focussed towards accountability ? where did this sense of answering to something/entity/system come from ? why not have people run free willed and let them choose if they want to help others or be totally selfish...?
do they need to co-exist? who says?...a man?... get rid of the man who says that ... let me just take everything I need when ever I need it from whomever I want it from and remove any obstacle in the way....?
The answer is the only a devine answerability or sense there of is the cause of all these so called man-made laws in this world...even secularists who claim to be so, derived their laws from devine logic/wisdom....
There will never be 100% confidence when it come to human-made laws/religions/systems....
because that is where science comes from --a human mind trying to identifying the source of an event/occurance/existence of tangible and in-tangible phenomenons...
any experiment in science has a degree of error..."beyond a shadow of a doubt"...
we hit the nail on the head....
there will always be doubt..
unless we believe in what GOD has sent down... and then we get into what HE sent down and what was HIS last message....
what exactly is ur goal here ? Islam did not take ideas from any other religion. The message to the jews and the christians was(emphais is on "was") the same and is from the same source. Islam is just the completion.
As for your statement that every person takes that which suites their purposes, that is not so. Not everyone does that. If you actually believe in the oneness of God and what he has commanded you should actually follow that which he commands. Allah knows what is in the heart, he hasnt sent down the religion so you can pick and choose. Religion is a guideline for those who believe in the day of judgement and Allah. As for forcing religion upon other people, there is nothing of that sort in Islam. You have your religion we have ours.
