I call it empathy. The golden rule. Religious morals do not have anything to do with the way I act and the things I do. Morals are shaped by society as a whole, not from religion. People existed long before religion and weren't all those things. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. Morals keep society healthy and on a steady course, good or bad. Societies that lost their moral way (read Romans for example) soon were lost in the dustbin of history. If your religion says it's ok to kill an unbeliever or to treat unbelievers like dog crap under your boot, then is it morally right? I'd say no because m persoanl beliefs forbid me from acting that way, not because I've read a holy book.
