ps. the video is better on the link below folks.

The documentary explores the lives of several Texan families. Muslim and Non Muslim, and their views about Islam and life in the West.

George W Bush may be backed by Christian fundamentalists but in his home state of Texas, Islam is the latest big draw. The Bible belt is transferring its allegiance to the Quran because, for many erstwhile Christians, believe it or not, the church is too liberal.

Eric was a Baptist preacher before he became a Muslim 14 years ago. Now he prays five times a day and even in the middle of watching a football game. His wife, Karen, also a convert, is covered from head to toe in the traditional Muslim burka. Islam, says Eric, is everything I wanted Christianity to be. His mother has found it hard to come to terms with her sons conversion and believes he will return to the Christian faith: Then he will be a dynamic preacher. Eric says: “Maybe some day she will embrace Islam.” . *

lol... now i have heard everything

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

Subhan Allah

Those who are committed to God will always find the path to Him whilst those who are committed to their own short sighted opinions, whims and desires will never see the truth for what it is.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

Now I’ve seen everything…A redneck Muslim…Praying in the middle of a football game…:rotfl:

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

^ Hey Hey Hey ....I have been doing it for a while now.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

^ Kaleem you're not a gora.

I saw Yusuf Estes the other day, I just can't fathom how a Catholic priest can not only embrace Islam, but preach it, convert his family and do extensive dawah? He's also Texan.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

What does that mean? Texans are really nice people.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

The original article was talking about converts specifically in Texas, which is why I said Yusuf Estes is Texan as well. I'm sure they're lovely people.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

but of course we are. :)

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

I was watching Supersize Me the other day. Texans are fat too.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

and beauty is even in the red-neck state of texs he can publicly convert and don't rick his life now tell me does any muslim country allow this kind of freedom......ost probably had he been muslim convertig to some other religion he would have faced life threat from his own father..........

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

Unfortunately that is very true, this goes all down to the level of education of those people you are mentioning.
Same can also be true for uneducated rednecks who react violently to one of their own converting to Islam.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

Why are you mocking him?

PLease go back and learn something about Islam before mocking others.

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

hey Lajjo is one of our resident mullahs - you can’t talk to him like that :clown:

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

OK, I just did…

He was a redneck Muslim…A redneck brother in faith…:omg:

Re: Turning Muslims in Texas

Personally watching the video made me all teary eyed. It was something. I get all emotional watching a reverted muslim be even better than those that are born by chance muslims. A few weeks ago, I was standing at the mall showing my toddler something, when I heard a loud Salamo alaikumm!! with so much zest, I didn’t pay attention, but then I heard it again, I was in my head thinking, Oh better turn around see, and voila, there it was. This young young Gora red head youth, with a beard and an uba, and his hiking backpack saying Asalamo alaikum Sister …me though baffled replying his salam, he turns back and walks away with me left a bit dumbfounded then thinking! SHucks! He showed up 4 yrs late in my life! :mad2:

ps. lol. When I see a redneck texan Muslim, I feel the same as they did back then towards Hazrath Umar R.A. The characteristic traits are quite similar.
