Channel 4 did a documentary about this a few years back, everything about Texas, I remember the bloke who prayed namaz during a Rugby game, he was ginger. They also showed people in Texas who only eat out at restaurants where it's "all you can eat" for like a fiver or something. Quite educational it was.
Re: Turning Muslims in Texas
Whenever i see converts I get really scared and nervous. Allah (swt) is indeed true to His promises. Didn't He say that when the muslims dont respect Islam, He will give the religion to new people and new nations?
So, somehow this bears good news and bad. We need to correct ourselves, people.
Re: Turning Muslims in Texas
thats why we want to convert US population to Islam ![]()
Re: Turning Muslims in Texas
It's so refreshing to hear this...there is a muslimah from south africa who pratically ululates her Salaam (slalalalala-lekum)....tsk tsk...:D

Re: Its Bush country....
I lived in the deep south for many years and enjoyed people’s reaction about Muslims and Islam. Pre 9/11 whenever people would find out I am a Muslim they would say ‘Muslim like Muhammad Ali Muslim?’ while some blacks often related Islam to Nation of Islam, as in where is your bow and suit? I was once asked if I was from Eyeran. Sadly, after 9/11 often Osama was the first thing that came to their minds.
Anyway, being a Baptist is a lot like being a conservative Muslim and the south is a lot like some of the liberal Islamic countries. For example, the Baptist believe you are not suppose to drink but they do on the side, they don’t allow women in the church with uncovered legs, their Sunday school is segregated, they believe a woman’s place is in the home raising a family, they believe their religion to be the absolute salvation and Bible to be the literal truth and follow it to the word, they consider sex even within a wedlock to be only for procreation and thus family planning is frowned upon, they are great evangelist, they often come across as holier than thou, they consider it their right and responsibility to correct anyone & everyone and to bring them to the right path, they do not believe in evolution and the list goes on. So if a Baptist is posting in the religion forum, you wouldn’t know the difference. :-)
