Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Man, they needed a drama.. they did it.. they'll continue with new episodes. Its ok they tried. Protest is everyone's right and thats how democracy is run. Unfortunately people sitting in dharna peacefully for these many days, and that also in redzone, still say that musharraf's dictatorship was better. But again we forget that these are politicians speaking. They lie blatantly all the time. If you notice they come up with a new thing everyday and then promise a new thing for next day. They are jugglers.

Its our fault who idolize them. We fall for their traps and chant slogans they give us as toys.

Just imagine if nobody gives an ear to their bhashan everyday, they'll be done just like that. But we dont, so in the end whose fault is this?

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

^ Doesn't apply to IK.

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Imran has missed the bus. He failed to jump on the opportunity to better Pakistani election system. Right time was when Govt was on its knees and Army chief was asked to mediate. It was very good time for him to get his agenda/demands implemented (minus nawaz's resignation) . He would have done very good service to Pakistan by initiating election reforms and investigation into previous elections.

A good leader should know the right exit strategy.

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

And how is he going to make election reforms by staying in this rotten system and wait for 2018 election when against N league is going to rig

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

^ Govt was so willing to make up at that point, they would have made a committee with chair from PTI with binding recommendations. There were many ways. Its not my job to find ways to push agenda. Its leaders job to find ways.

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Govt didnt accepted any of IK's points ....Not even 1 of it IK said that few days back its on record

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

@mahool boht time hai tumhare paas :nook:

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Well said :k:

Now its not even proper dharna. People are there from evening till late night. In day there are hardly few people and then they come back in eve. IK himself rests at bani gala during day. And now he has started visiting other cities to keep the ball rolling so technically dharna is already over.

And generally Pakistanis do not have a lot of patience. They’ll get sick of his speeches everyday when they dont see result coming. Like it or no NS isnt going anywhere

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

What is happening in Islamabad?

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Watch it yourself

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

and wht about accountability of 2013 elections????

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

That was one of the point Govt was willing to accept. There were issues with dynamics of how will it be investigated and implemented but Imran could have pushed to gain as much strong hold on investigation as possible.

Have you ever bought rug or cloths from Pathan? when you bargain they keep on dropping price but a point comes when he says "gutter main phaink dai ga per aab tum ko nahi baichey ga nikloo yahaan sai".

Pathan = Nawaz Sharif
You (customer) = Imran
that point = Gen Raheel's mediation
price = Imran's agenda

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

thts one point gov not ready to do they are ready for electoral reforms for next elections but not ready for accountability of elections , the paper they submitted they wrote 2013 were most free n fair elections, ik should prove his allegations but they are not ready for election audit

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

^ They were ready even PTI top leadership said that. Only problem was definition of dhandli and NS's resignation

They did say when talks were just a verbal exercise. As soon as they started communicating in writing (something they should have since the very beginning) and they found out that Nawaz League technically didn’t commit to most of the points.

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Just like NS’s assurance to IK to baaikaaT 2008 elections. :chai:

Re: Isteefa demand and Islamabad Dharna

Thats AFTER imran said "main army chief ko mana ker aaya hoon. hum baghair istefa k nahi jaeen gai". I am talking about "before mana kerna". NS would not have done chun-charaan if IK had accepted to go ahead with Army Chief as mediator.

First of all, I am not sure how mahool figured out that the public in karachi was only from Clifton and defence. And even if they were, then how and why is that a bad thing? Implying that the defence and Clifton crowd is oblivious to real problems of Pakistan is funny, considering that your two consecutive executives (nawaz and Zardari) are corrupt multi billionaires. Somehow these rich *******s are allowed to head this nation, but the following should always come from poor people. This very slave mentality is what brought our country to the level we are at.

I was also losing faith on this dharna effort, but got pleasantly surprise by Karachi's rally. That just shows that people who are in the middle of that chaos haven't given up and their hopes and expectations with IK are still high.

Btw, isn't it funny that when we see an affluent looking crowd in IK's rally, we put them down as burgers, and when we see lower class crowd, we claim that they are hired for 400 rupees a day. Iss ko kehtay hain chit bhi meri aur put bhi meri.
