Try harder genius. If an Islamic country violates a UN resolution all hell breaks lose. But you have all kinds of excuses and no regard for UN resolution when it is against terrorist country like Israel.

A few naive Pakistanis on this board see something called "Islamic countries". Nothing of that sort exists. Let me assure you all, the Arabs would want themselves to be just ARAB and nothing else -- they backstabbed the turks, the persians and every other "Islamic" race you could imagine. These two races [turks/farsees] are now alienated from the rest of the so-called "Islamic world". And then the Caliphate in the hand of the Arabs was in turmoil from day one. Arabs unfortunately are a huge chunk of the muslim world and the major source of influence to our culture and even the language we associate Islam with is "theirs". Until they're willing to be part of this so-called "Islamic bloc" nothing shall work, and its best we leave these fantastic notions till that point. The Israel/Palestine conflict is their war with Israel and they have faught it VERY poorly -- right from the 3 conflicts where they were totally routed by a nation the size of Lahore. Aid and massive support for Israel from the US/UK etc etc is BS and just a LAME excuse for the sheer ineptness of the Arabs -- Saudi Arabia and Egypt have HUGE arms and $$$$ stockpiles. Countries earn the right to exist, and I'm sorry, with the way things are, a few key middle eastern countries other than Israel should be the first to be "wiped out".

Damn right you can say that again, the UN is used and abused by the western imperialists to rubber stamp thier exploitation, putting sanctions and invasion of muslim countries in particular, while the squatter israeli state breaks hundreds of their so called inshrined UN charter nothing happens to it diddly squat. Time for the muslim countries to leave the UN and unite as one islamic state that is the only way they can sort their own problems out and leave the western imperialists from interfering in muslim affairs.

As per what I have been hearing in the news and reading on other online boards that Iran has said that it has no intention of attacking Israel inspite of what the president has said and that he did not mean it ‘literally’. I dont know what exactly is meant by that but this in no way suggest that he has repeated his statement as you are suggesting?

of course, i don't think they need to say such obvious things given that if Mossad detects so much as a hint of a real threat, Israel wouldn't hesitate to destroy every inch of Iran in the name of self-defense.

You are forgetting something. You are forgetting how muslims fight back when attacked. The killings/destrcution will not only be of Iran but the situation of the world and the position and reputation Israel has gained will not leave it any safe either. The only thing gained will be more killing, more bloodshed, more destruction, more pain of and to the people of both sides.
A president issuing these kinds of childish statements is irresponsible whereas anyone attacking a country and starting a war on these basis of these kinds of childish statement is even more retarded.

a) Israel is answerable to nobody, except the US (even that is only a limited deterrent). as you’ve probably noticed, world opinion does not affect them or their actions in the least.
b) In the name of self-defense (whether real or not), Israel will do anything it sees fit. when has killing and bloodshed stopped them from accomplishing their goals?
obviously Israel won’t go to war over a comment like this. i’m talking about if Iran actually were to attack Israel, and their intelligence agencies picked up on legitimate plans (which they naturally would), you can surely believe they would mobilize a tactical attack on Iran in the blink of an eye.

I don’t understand your point. Israel is a nice place to live, therefore it can kill as many Palestinians as it wantS? If this is the kind of double standards that are in play when formulating Western policy, then I think the comments made by the Iranian leadership is only a small part of the problem…

If anything, our lack of unity is exactly why we’re constantly being pitted against each other. In this regard, Islamist Arabs are not the bigots you make all “arabs” out to be…let’s call a spade a spade here…the problem is with the chauvanistic secularists and their failed notion of nationalism, which has no concept of inter-state cooperation. They only ever sell their state out to the highest bidder.

I don’t understand the excitement of Indians like nikhil and rashguy over this matter. Are they pissed off at Iran because Iran refused to sell natural gas to India or are they supporting Israel because mossad agents helped training Indian army on how to kill innocent Kashmiris. Just remember that Israel is no body friends. Jews have proved it over and over again. They will stab you in the back. So stop brown nosing Israel and worry about your own issues.

it’s not about Israel - it is about Iran and the stupidity of its president.
even if Israel was India’s sworn enemy, i would readily acknowledge its military capability and kick-ass-and-take-names mentality. there is no denying that no country in the middle east has the balls to mess with Israel despite outnumbering and surrounding it, as well as all having a raging passion to destroy it.

What i find interesting is why the media/western leaders made a big hue and cry out over this. For the past 25 yrs or so, ever since the revolution, Iran has been saying the same thing practically every week, after jummah prayers. Its not something out of the blue, and Irans stance has never changed since. Marg Barg Israel is probably one of the most common slogan in Iran, along with marg barg Amreeka. Its never was an issue. Hence, why they've picked up on this comment at this moment in time is so darn obvious...they've exhausted every other route, and are now clutching at whatever little they can to halt Iran's nukes. Iran on the other hand doesnt give two hoots...as usual.
