Re: Israel to be ‘wiped off the World map’

All sides are wrong on this issue.

Israel functions due to grants from America. Pure and simple. It’s a MYTH that they control the US, rather the US (in particular the Evangelicals) manipulate Israel.

I think Israel is being used just as much as any other state by the US, to the detrement of Israel. Israel is gaining NOTHING by antagonizing Arabs (and vice versa), and the fact is their biggest enemy is demographics. They can’t do anything about that…so they need to get real and get real fast.

The fact is, Israel needs to recognize that it’s rightful place is as part of the middle east, not as somekind of western outpost. Whatever pain it has it has received, it has brought on itself.

You don’t go buying land under the pretsense of creating a state. That’s exactly how Israel was formed…that and a terrorist campaign which swayed the eventual British administrators (post WWI) for a zionist homeland.

Either way, it was underhanded and the Arabs have every right to be eternally pissed. Whatever. I think the Arabs too need to get over it.

In dealing with China and India, Israel has shown that it is not ideologically bound to the same imperatives as the rest of the West. Israel faces an existential threat that is solely the function of it’s occupation of Arab land…if the would be willing to be service the Arab world (for a profit, of course…I am reasonable) in terms of aiding in development of beurocracy and technology then the relationship will be strong.

The Israelis have the know how, and the Arabs the money. Together the ME would be strong. A prerequisite is to give up the adolescent dream of zionism.

Why am I picking on the Israleis? Because that state is the transplant in the region. One needs to recourse to Biblical theology to defend the state of Israel…odd since Zionism was a secular movement. Anyway…it’s the oddball…and the cause, not the victim.

Re: Israel to be ‘wiped off the World map’

That’s hardly anything to be proud of.

Israel was east-leaning during a portion of the cold war. It’s an odd nation…full of smart people yet still a basket case.

Re: Israel to be 'wiped off the World map'

I didn't hear any world condemnation when Israel attacked Iraq...Or bombed Syrian cities...Or killed refugees in Lebanon...Or its daily incursions into other nation's territories?

I didn't even hear any condemnation when Israel openly stated its wish to attack Iran without any international backing?

So why such an outcry now over what Iran said? Because Iran happens to be a Muslim country?

Hypocrisy...Iran only stated what in reality should have been stated by the entire world decades ago...A rogue, provocative nation which has attacked each and every one of its neighbours...

Kudos to Iran for stating the obvious...

Re: Israel to be ‘wiped off the World map’

Agree.

Re: Israel to be ‘wiped off the World map’

Well said.

Re: Israel to be ‘wiped off the World map’

there are 190 countries which make up the UN General Assembly. The OIC,
http://www.oic-un.org/, the Orginization of Islamic Countries have 57 members and
3 observer states… add to that countries which are dictatorships and anti American and you have a majority of the UN general assembly, which uses more than 30% of its resolutions to condemn Israel..

while ignoring the ONGOING SLAVERY of people in Somalia and Sudan and Saudi, nmot to mention cannibalism in the COngo and slaughter in Darfur.

look at the list opf OIC countries, find the ones which are ‘blessed’

LOL

where would YOU want to live?

Re: Israel to be ‘wiped off the World map’

and

did you know that the OIC does not recognize the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, because it is contrary to sharia?
