Re: U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan blames Hezbollah
That isn’t all he said Nichols. You should post all of it instead of just one aspect:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5199088.stm
He condemned Hezbollah for sparking the latest violence in the country, but also attacked Israel for what he called its “excessive use of force”.
“Israel states that it has no quarrel with the government or people of Lebanon, and that it is taking extreme precautions to avoid harm to them,” Mr Annan said.
"Yet a number of its actions have hurt and killed Lebanese civilians and military personnel and caused great damage to infrastructure.
“While Hezbollah’s actions are deplorable, and as I’ve said, Israel has a right to defend itself, the excessive use of force is to be condemned.”
Re: U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan blames Hezbollah
but that is all he wanted to hear from him.

seems to be favorite propaganda line by the supporters of tyranny.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
In this decade...I think Hizbollah's infleuence will be prevalent over the entire mideast...and there will substantial change politically as well as militarily...just my instinct...
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
Wake up Guys,
How in the world can you think that Hizbullah can win against Isreal. Think Rationally, Regardless of who is right or wrong, regardless of who started the Feud, Isreal has a much more powerful and organised army. Merey Junooni bhaiyo, hosh mein aao and get the facts right !!
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel’s response (threads)
Dont be too sure of that. Hezbullah is more powerful and organised than you guys seem to think.
Hezbollah’s Skill More Military Than Militia
By Peter Spiegel and Sebastian Rotella, Times Staff Writers
July 20, 2006
WASHINGTON — Hezbollah's ability to use relatively advanced weapons in the last week of fighting against Israel, as well as the variety of its armaments, has surprised U.S. military experts, current and former officials involved in Middle East policy said.
Hezbollah has gained attributes more often associated with a national military — fixed training bases, rocket-launching facilities, well-trained artillerymen — than with a guerrilla or terrorist group, they said.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
I Agree with everything whatever you have stated, but still guys wake up from your dreams, These guys(Isrealees) have the best defence forces in the world and they are back by US and UK. How in the world can you think that they can win !!!!
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
I think by the time this war ends there will be destruction everywhere in Lebenan. But still the Arabs would not have learnt any lessons.
They just can't learn, even after being responsible for the death/destruction of so many human lives, they will find a way to blame someone else.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
^ Im wondering how u figured that one out. 1 + 1 = 11?
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
Narayan, I agree with your point that Lebanan would be in a very bad shape by the time this war ends but the thing you wrote Arabs is completely wrong. Arabs are completly divided on this recent war. Its not that all Arabs are screwed up, some of them surely are. Despite the fact Isreal moving off Lebonan and Gaza strip, Hamas and Hisbullah still are not satisfied. The only solution to them is complete destruction of Isreal(which will happen only in their dreams) So, my point was that Arabs are lot divided today than ever before. You should note that not even one Arab country has stated anything against Isreal in recent days.
Being a evacuee myself during the first Gulf War from Kuwait, I feel for those civilians who are stuck in Lebonan. I don't know why Pakistanis have a soft corner for the Iraqis(Saddams' Loyalist). I still cannot forget how the Iraqi Army raped pakistani women and girls when they invaded Kuwait. They used to pin point Pakistani nationalss from a group of South Asians and torture the men and rape the women(I guess it had to do something with Pakistan sending its army to liberate Kuwait) and on the other hand the respected all Indians from all their Heart.
And my MA Mooli bhai, you know something, "AAM ka Achar khatta hota hai"................ did my statement make any sense.......no right, because your statement "Im wondering how u figured that one out. 1 + 1 = 11?" did not make any sense to me.
Chill out HumanZZ !!
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
Not all Iraqis are Saddam Loyalists.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
Yeah, I know Nowdays, some Iraqis are Kurds, some are Shia's and the rest are Sunnis. But, when they invaded Kuwait they were all Iraqis, and to me all of 'em are bloooody maniacs(I am Sorry for the stereotyping) like in the same way for some of our Pakistanis all Indians Suck.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel’s response (threads)
Rocking vibes, you probably didnt get it because it wasn’t meant for you.
however as for your view on Hizbullah, you couldnt be more ignorant if you tried. All they they want is a prisoner exchange, theres no talk about obliterating Israel. Israel on other hand seems to enjoy targetting the masses of innocent civlians.
I think they’re game plan was to create hostility for hezbullah (read saudi and jordan views) within lebanon, but that plan backfired greatly me thinks.. cuz it seems to have all the more reason to keep its weapons, in the eyes of lebanese and the rest of the world.
You cannae disarm someone by attacking them, cuz you still deemed a threat. Israels behaviour seems to defy all logic. :halo:
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
From analyzing news coming from Lebanon war zone, it seems that Hezbollah is playing their cards brilliantly. It is obvious that Hezbollah is not as much armed (with heavy weapons) as Israelis as even if they wanted to, they are not manufacturing arms nor world would have given them arms.
Thus, it seems that Hezbollah have decided to let Israelis keep bombing viciously and show the world true evil face of Israel. On the other hand, Hezbollah could not do much about that anyhow other then releasing two Israelis they arrested who crossed into Lebanon illegally, but releasing them would be rewarding Israeli terrorism.
Hezbollah also know that as long as they would keep resisting releasing Israeli infiltrator they arrested, Israel would not give up and eventually in frustration, they will enter Lebanon.
Now, when Israeli would enter Lebanon, real man-to-man fighting would start where arms superiority would vanish and commitments would matter a lot.
In such situation, I believe Hezbollah would inflict heavy losses on Israeli forces (in the form of possibly thousands of Israeli death soldiers, arresting (capturing) many Israeli soldiers and wounding many Israelis soldiers)
From analysing news, I believe that Hezbollah has capability of hitting Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem with shower of missiles but they are waiting for the time when man-to-man fighting would start and Israelis after receiving heavy causalities may start finding excuse of retreating. In such situation, just to keep Israel engaged in man-to-man fighting, they would start hitting Tal-Aviv and maybe Jerusalem too.
Let see, time will tell. This is just an analysis and I believe it is fair analysis.
ARY news from Dr Shahid Masood (who moved to Lebanon to cover the events from there):
The news from Dr Shahid Masood (of ARY) in Lebanon is that, Israel tried to cross Lebanon border and first time in history, their attacked was not only repulsed but Israelis lost over 20 army personals dead and in some news, they have lost armoured vehicles including 2 tanks.
According to Dr Shahid Masood, Israeli attack on Lebanon is bringing support for Hezbollah from all section of Lebanese society, that includes moderates Lebanese, Christians, Sunnis, Shias and others and I believe, all will take part in resistance along with Hezbollah.
Again, according to Dr Shahid Masoon, Hezbollah (and many other Lebanese) seems preparing for Israeli land attack since last 6 years since 2000 and many want revenge once Israeli land attack would come. (Hezbollah forced Israelis to leave Lebanon in 2000, as at that time Hezbollah killed over 1000 Israeli soldiers and were killing 10 to 20 Israeli soldiers a day).
Latest news from ARY: Two Israeli apache helicopter crashed with each other and got destroyed, killing 4 Israelis. 3 other Israelis are killed in one attack and at border Hezbollah repulsed Israeli attack killing many Israelis, destroying 2 Tanks and capturing Israeli equipments.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel’s response (threads)

Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
20 Israeli soldiers have now been killed in the Lebanon fighting, but Israel has only managed to kill 1 Hezbollah fighter. Yet, it has killed 300 Lebanese civilians.
Israel has lost this war.
Re: Israel humiliated /Israel's response (threads)
I hope Hizb will refrain from dropping a nuke on Isreal...which I guess they have in their arsenal...
