Millions of Pakistanis work in some of the most anti-semetic countries in the Middle East like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The money they sent back home supports the Pakistani economy. If Pakistan were to recognize Israel, the Arabs could hit back by expelling Pakistani expatriate workers in their countries and accept Indian workers. Arabs only care about arab causes. They sympathise with India in Kashmir, are closer to India than to Pakistan simply because India is a larger, economically stronger, military, financially, and has more natural resources than Pakistan. Arab interests lies in a stronger alliance with India than with Pakistan.

Now you said that Arab only care about Arab causes, fine, but you also said that Arabs are closer to India because of “economy, military, financially”. You agree that Pakistan is reaping financial rewards from Arab countries and you also want Pakistan to quit Arabs? You mean Pakistan should shoot itself in the foot and the a$$? Pakistan needs to grow financially, technologically stronger to free itself from Arab influence, until we reach that point forget Israel.

This will destroy Israel as a Jewish country. That would be like Pakistan admitting **200,000,000 **Hindus into Pakistan who fled after the partition of 1947.

Please post correct numbers 200 million. Do you really think Hindus want to come back to Pakistan? I don’t think so. Were Hindus “expelled” like Palestinians were? I doubt.

This is utterly wrong perception. Rich Arabs from Saudi, to Kuwaiti, to Dubai-ans everyone is dealing with Israel. They would be the last one to complain if Pakistan establishes diplomatic relationship with Israel.

Poor thug type Arabs of Cairo and the bazars of Damishq may have a problem. But who cares!

Rich Arabs in fact will praise Pakistan for opening up dialogue with Israel. So there is no worry. Just go ahead and say Shalom Elaikhum (Sounds much like Salaam Alaikum, isn' it).

Ehsan, perhapes it wasn't a tactful response but it was a response to PBH's statement. If the statement were true though PBH would definitely be in that 98 percentile.

What's sad and really highlights M2K's point about Pakistan is that PBH chooses to insult her by calling her a Jew (his post has been deleted). He doesn't even realize that she's a strong defender of Pakistan, quite rich.

Strong Friendship may be a something in the distant future (or may be utopia).

However the two countries should accept each other and establish diplomatic relationship.

Israel has always wanted to move forward. Only Pakistan has avoided the hand shake based on utter misperceptions (some of it thanks to liberal Pakistanis read my response to 4 points above).
