Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

well, then something was needed to be done at that time

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

but you admit hindu television is superior. however, you state it is disgusting. In other words, it is your belief that hindu television is disgusting and superior. I think you need to redefine what you are trying to accomplish here. Perhaps you need to redo your thesis paragraph here. Since it leaves the reader in utter confusion, leaving them with one conclusion. You are a hypocrite.

You love hindu television, because its a million times better. Thats a bold statement. How can you call it a million times better then regard it as unclean, dirty, and unwatchable?

You sound similar to those foby men who praise the idea of marrying a virgin woman, but are seemingly ok with the idea that your being virgin isn't important. Do you see where I am getting at? My question is, if you think hindu television is literally a million times better, then why throw vile attitudes towards it. Its like saying, i love watching porn but not with family.

So...since you admit loving and admiring the quality of hindu television, is it not logical then to assume you are the one ruled by the foriegners? Who are the traitors here? who do you support? Then you are equating ptv with porn...and certainly that is an exageration.

Lastly, just to let you know, Pakistan was actually created as a secular nation, not an islamic one. If you are a mullah type and oppose what Pakistan stood for originally, then you'd be on the side of hindus who along with the mullahs, did not support the creation of Pakistan. Perhaps it is then, time to move to india, or saudia arabia. Two idiotic countries, with certainly the strange and conflicting attitudes you share.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

sure. cool breeze.....but to say that recently the shows became unislamic is incorrect and the era which is being stated as good family viewing was uncomfortable for families back then, even shows like tanhaiyan and ankahi would offend conservative families.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

you are right. I agree
But I was surprised to see some advertisments - during the family hours when the whole faimly in PK usually sit together to have dinner and watch tv.
Also to me, its very weird to see a PK drama where females are wearing short shalwars that are way way above their ankles. I mean living in US, we don't wear that kinda stuff.

It may not be related to the topic but the standard of some programs have lowered so much such as talk shows. I mean, if its an urdu program, the host needs to have good urdu accent rather than using wrong sentence with half english in it.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

yeh rite...i think the guy who started this thread is rite

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Well I think he is not matured person who started this thread.
If he thinks Pakistani is getting bold day-by-day then it would be good for him to unhook his dish’s cable from his TV. PTV is not forcing him to watch its channels.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

lol
y u gettin so offended?

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

You can watch all those programs living in USA,Canada,Europe etc etc being aired on their channels,Infact you live among "those sort of People"....But when it comes to Pakistan or PTV ,it becomes shameful....What Bigotry....If it does not suit you,why don't you stop living among "those sort of people" come back to Pakistan & stop "that kind of progress"...

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Maybe there are homes where adults have dish to watch the news, informative talkshows & stuff but when they're not around, their kids can watch whatever. And you can't blame a minor because he doesn't have that much sense of whats right and whats wrong.

Other thing, if something is bad. You can't close you eyes - you have to make it work according to your values.
Turning the TV off is not a solution. The whole country can't turn the tv off - you know its not possible.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

With the name calling to the President and the general tone of the thread initiator, I have a hypothesis. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome Mullah Omar to GS! The internet has found it’s way to the head of the Taliban!:clown:

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Why continue pretending you're paki anymore. that cover was blown a while back..The Pashtun part is what all Indians think they are anyway..

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

A decade ago we didn't even see couple saying 'I love u' in dramas and now they're holding hands, hugging and some even show inappropriate bedroom scenes.. Watching scenes like that can be embarassing especially when you're sat with family. I don't like the sleevless top fashion either.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

exactly.
and then asking to close your eyes is the most stupid answer, I've ever heard.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

WOW the guy has a basic concern and everyone jumps on him. I cant remember the name of the drama but they almost showed a kiss at the end of it, it was on eid, i dont remember the name cuz i didnt really watch it :o

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

^ I know, it’s hilarious, judging by some of these posts, looks like we have a lot of guppies working in show business. :hehe:

He’s absolutely right, in a bid to copy the success of Indian media, our brainless media moguls are going the same route.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

To the poster of this thread; I respect your Islamic views but FYI all kind of music, showing women showing/hiding cleavage on TV is not allowed in Islam, so best idea for you is don't watch any TV at all.

Society norms change with time. What is normal dress for women in Pakistan nowadays was unacceptable 20 years ago. So either accept it as it is or reject it and don't watch it.

PS: I find it very offensive that a nobody comes on the Pakistani forum and abuses the president of Pakistan. I am personaly not a big fan of the president but it doensn't mean that I have a right to abuse him.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Since when did saying “I love you” and ALMOST kissing mean the society is decaying?
Do you guys EVER watch American TV? Do you know how much garbage is in it? esp sex? Or is it a case of double standards..

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

and they are succeeding…are they not.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Hmm, let the religious parties rule pakistan... eh raheel?
btw, u think ptv is becoming bad... dude you havn't watched a cartoon with your 3, 8, 11 year old siblings. I am telling you, thank God that they don't understand the dirty jokes in those toons. Even recent movies, anyone seen over the hedge?

anyways, we all have a choice, it's better to just turn that **** off.

Re: Isn’t Paki TV getting a bit too bold?

Sure they are, just like the underground prostitution scene is in Pakistan.
