yea, so?? salat also is the praise of Allah and his Rasool.. i will say the salat.. will u say my dua?? that’s what ppl don’t realize..our dua is different coz it contains the confirmation of the imams.. salat doesn’t go further than Holy Prophet(S.A.W).. that’s the whole point.. if u believe in the imams, u’ll say our dua.. if not, u’ll say the salah that ppl have been sayin before you..
