Walaikum salaam akhi,
Just follow the Golden Rule. When in doubt, avoid it. Why risk it when odds are that you could praise Allah (swt) and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) by proven means from Sunnah. :)

Peace All,
Well said ![]()
The point of ponder is that we indulge ourselves in listening such ‘Islamic Music’, like we are doing some good act and gaining more ‘sawab’.
Type it on google and u’ll know what is this about ![]()
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments
This is opening of Heer Waris Shah. You can call it Hamd. The way its sung (with music instruments) does not made me feel ke I’m doing a gunah. Its always soothing experience to listen to such stuff.
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments
Yes, soothing as it may be. We should practice caution about anything that does not have a solid foundation in Quran and Sunnah. 999/1000 will have unpleasant news to hear. Let us not be a part of that 999, inshaAllah.
The cursed Shaytan has lost hope in Muslims ever worshipping any other than Allah, but he is content in causing us to go astray in the matters we consider smaller in degree. Aoozubillah Himinishaytan nir-rajeem
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments
Music is always a controversial topic. Its opposed by many and supported by people like Imam Ghazali. If something doesn't take me and my attention away from Allah and Ishq e Rasool then why should I make it haram on myself.
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments
True. It is a controversial topic with various learned scholars having various points of view. All of whom are respectable.
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments

Peace Muqawwee123,
Plz tell me one good reason that how you benefit urself as well as others by listening of 'Heer Waris Shah' aka 'Hamd'? Moreover, if u had chance to listen/watch live, will u go?

I would just restrict myself to listening. Its sufiana kalam, which soften your heart and create tolerance and humanity in you. I would prefer listening to this instead of listening to Molvi Zarwali, Zaid Hamid spreading hatred for fellow human being all the time.

Peace Muqawwee123,
You haven't answered my question :) and its oky if u don't wish to answer.
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments
If music is all bad then why are there ahadith in Bukhari and Muslim saying that music was played in front of Prophet, and he did not disapprove it?
And if musical instruments are haram then why is 'duff' not haram?
I think there are arguments on both sides of the debate. There are contradictory ahadith, meaning that some of them were invented later.
Now it only depends on who is able to present those arguments more convincingly to general public. In other words, whoever is a better (and wealthier) salesman will win the public approval.
Re: “Islamic” Songs With Musical Instruments
Peace khoji,
'Duff' is used on the occasion of 'marriage', and if not then there will be no difference in marriage and a funeral. Like a poet wrote:
Kahi Janazah hota hy Kahi Baraat hoti hy
Log jama hotain hain bs aik si baat hoti hy.

... which shows that musical instruments are not haram.
