Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Allah created insan and gave him free will so He could test which ones would be righteous, follow His commands through His prophets, not be tempted by evil.

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Almighty Allah created us because it is the part of His creative plan that He created beings who can understand and appreciate His creative power, along with countless insensate beings.

Allah not only want us to worship him but also He want us to Obey him.

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Allah warns us against covetousness.

Surah Imran, Ayah number 180:

[quote]
And let not those who [greedily] withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah , with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted.
[/quote]

Surah Nisa, Ayah number 32:

[quote]
And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of his bounty. Indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing.
[/quote]

Allah has commanded us repeatedly in Quran and through Sunnah to be thankful for all Allah blesses us with, and to give others of it, and to fear becoming hoarders of wealth because it leads of becoming a Bakheel. The wealth which some hoard will be wrapped around their necks on Judgement Day, and they will have to account for why they did not spend in the way of Allah. We are only custodians over the surplus that we end up with, and Allah provides us so that we may take from it what we need to suffice, and spend the rest to help others.

I'm not sure if this falls under Zakat, but whenever there came mention of Salah, Zakah follows it immediately which shows the importance of spending, and avoiding covetous. The covetous may also extend to those who seek authority and power out of greed.

Astagfirullah for the wrong I may have spoken, and Allah knows best what is most correct.

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

It caused people to deviate from the path of truth and forced them trot in the path of falsehood. It had brought forth numerous wickedness in human behaviors. Many things which man was obliged to spend in the path of virtue had been diverted to spend in the way of deception, due to stinginess.

Out of three things Prophet counted as destructive, the first one is stinginess .

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Covetousness

In the Majestic Qur’an there are three terms that revolve around the concept of coveting. One is shahwa (lust) and another is hasad (jealousy) and the third is nafs (desire).

In the chronological account the first time we are hinted on about coveting is in the story of Sayyiduna Adam (AS) and Hawwa (AS) who were made and in the heavenly gardens, Satan came upon them, tempting.

In Surah Taha verse 20
Then Satan whispered to him; he said, “O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?”

This was a deception and in the symbolic sense coveting is the deception we put ourselves in to that we desire that what Allah (SWT) has not given us, rather than accepting and trusting Allah (SWT) to give us what is deemed to be best for us. But the trickery of Satan brought harm. Notice how he was alluding to “possession” as if utilities and possessions will make us better than what Allah (SWT) Intended, for sure Allah (SWT) has placed inside us our greatness and not outside us – it is not our attachments and appendages that give us our rank, but a treasure that is within us. We merely have to realise that.

Covetousness is like a madness that overwhelms us. In otherwise perfect sanity when we let the article of our desires consume our thoughts then the thoughts become more powerful than our own faculties of reason and control. In the story of Sayyiduna Yusuf (AS) the Potiphar’s wife, who became taken by the beauty and personality of the Yusuf (AS).

Surat Yusuf [12:23-25] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???
She closed the doors and said, “Come, you.” He said, "* the refuge of Allah .

His beauty was so striking that the women who were scheming about Zulaikha were brought forth. They were given knives and upon sighting him (AS) they cut their hands – encapsulated with his (AS)’s piercing beauty they called him an angel.

Surat Yusuf [12:30-31] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???
And women in the city said, “The wife of al-'Azeez is seeking to seduce her slave boy; he has impassioned her with love. Indeed, we see her [to be] in clear error.”

So when she heard of their scheming, she sent for them and prepared for them a banquet and gave each one of them a knife and said [to Joseph], “Come out before them.” And when they saw him, they greatly admired him and cut their hands and said, “Perfect is Allah ! This is not a man; this is none but a noble angel.”

This presents the case similar to earlier that to covet is to seek fulfilment externally it also demonstrates that mankind has a natural attraction to the angelic.

Surat 'Ali `Imran [3:13-15] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.

Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah . And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants –

What we seek is often apparent and tangible – in these verses there is not only a connection between beauty and vision, but also a connection between vision and logical deduction. There is an appeal at the end to those who search out for themselves to become content with the idea that Allah (SWT) looks out for them.

To covet is in our nature – it is our weakness as stated. There is a strong urge in those who pursue their desires and want others to do that too – so they will behave as tempters once they themselves have been consumed by their own desires.

Surat An-Nisa’ [4:26-28] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.

Surat Maryam [19:58-60] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.

But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil –

Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all.
In this section there is a strong indicator for the relationship between pursuing desires and neglecting prayers.

Surat Al-'A`raf [7:80-82] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

And [We had sent] Lot when he said to his people, "Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds?

Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people."

But the answer of his people was only that they said, “Evict them from your city! Indeed, they are men who keep themselves pure.”

Surat An-Naml [27:54-56] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing?

Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly."

But the answer of his people was not except that they said, “Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure.”

Surat Al-Baqarah [2:109] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

This is a similarity between hassad and shahwa. They both stem from people trying to others away from good as well being part of the bad.

Surat Al-Falaq [113:5] - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

The Qur’an also provides us protection from such things.
To covet is a sign that we are not content with what Allah (SWT) has given us, this stems from a misunderstanding and implicit denial that Allah (SWT) has not catered the best for us.

Surat Al-`Alaq - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

No! [But] indeed, man transgresses
Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

Self-sufficiency comes in many forms – we desire what we think is better, yet many times we are reminded that such and such things are better for us, but we do not perceive that to be the case. As a human race we rejected the Mana Wa Salwa and chose to do things the hard way…

All of these things share some element or are instigated by covetousness…*

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Yes, because it is mentioned in the Quran.

It is mentioned in the Holy Quran, Surah An-Nisa, ayah number 28 that Man (generally speaking Mankind/Human) is created weak.

From general observation, it is very obvious that humans have weaknesses of the physical nature, Social sphere, as well as spiritual.

If one of our limbs stops functioning properly within a certain degree of its normal operation, it can effect our entire body and thus make us inefficient barring a few exceptions. At the peak of our strength and youth, we can sometimes forget how dependent we are on Allah's mercy and blessings; the amount which we cannot even count. The ability to think about the blessings is a blessing in itself, and those who are deprived of this in the way of mental or physical disabilities truly may realize what it means to have a weakness manifest itself.

In terms of weaknesses of social sphere, a person may be compelled to commit that which is haram for the sake of his/her family. In our times, the root of corruption is this weakness manifest.

Last but not least is our weakness in spirituality, and I feel that weakness is caused by the fitnah, and whispers of shaytaan which causes us to be led astray due to our wrong actions. The further away from the straight path we go, the more we diminsh in spirituality and our weakness increases.

Allahu aalim. Astagfirullah for any wrong I may have said, because none can possibly explain the wisdom better than Rasool Allah (s.a.w.) did, as commanded by Allah.

[RIGHT]

[/RIGHT]

We have certainly created man in the best of stature;
95:4

And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak.
4:29

:phati:

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Yes Man has weaknesses. The Holy Quran declares that in an ayah (verse): Man is created weak.(Surah an-Nisa 28).
Any human required minimum two basic needs for survival ( wealth n health)these both needs jub hi hasil hon gi jub Allah ki razamandi shamil hogi.

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

Yes, indeed.

As mentioned in the Holy Quran:

يُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ وَخُلِقَ الإِنسَانُ ضَعِيفًا

An-nisa 4:28: And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak.

If we ponder about it, we realize how weak we really are. Physically, our faculties have limits. We can only see so far or hear from so far away. There are limits to our thinking and knowledge. Emotionally we are subservient to events around us. Even when we stand up to pray, our mind wanders. We are so weak that we cannot even control our thoughts.

It is His benevolence that helps us succeed and survive or else we would be nothing.

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

This is very wide topic. According to my little knowledge, when ever there is chance people can twist things, take advantage of weak, do wrong to any other human, there is warning that, should not transgress.

Re: Islamic Quiz Competition (Q&A)

The Quran is full of warnings for those who persistently transgress, and good news for those who repent and turn back to Allah. In the most beautiful words of Rasool Allah (s.a.w.) "Every son of Adam a.s. is a sinner, and the best of the sinners are those who repent often."

Quran warns those who transgress all limits without heeding warnings, and do so out of pride/arrogance, and reject the truth when truth has become apparent to them. The most categorical transgression is Disbelief.

Allah knows best.

(Saying) “eat of the Tayyibat (good lawful things) wherewith We have provided you, and commit no transgression or oppression therein, lest My Anger should justly descend on you. And he on whom My Anger descends, he is indeed perished”. [Tafsir At-Tabari]

Ibn Maajah (4245) narrated from Thawbaan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “I certainly know people of my ummah who will come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds like the mountains of Tihaamah, but Allaah will make them like scattered dust.” Thawbaan said: O Messenger of Allaah, describe them to us and tell us more, so that we will not become of them unknowingly. He said: “They are your brothers and from your race, worshipping at night as you do, but they will be people who, when they are alone, transgress the sacred limits of Allaah.”
