Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

ok not prostitution or marijuana ... haha going a bit too far ... yeah hopefullly it-ll become a secular state but how ??

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Just a simple question for secular wanabes, which sort of Secularism would you prefer, the one in Turkey, Tunis or Syria or the one which was in Iraq and Iran. And yes you can not have the one in France and USA that would be too much for you.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

why would a country that is 98% muslim even want to think of secularism as an option?

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

if you look at the elections in pakistan the politicians always use and abuse islam just to get the votes, just shows the people want islam not secularism!

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

We should atleast try a secular state... No reason why not..

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Ohhhhh
:frowning: :frowning: :frowning:
I never knew that. What was the first name of the Jinnah who said this?
The Jinnah who was responsible for putting Pakistan (and thus all of us as its citizens) on this globe said 1000000s of times that Pakistan is going to be an Islamic country. This Islamic country will be secular in the sense that it will not interupt any followers of other relegions from practicing their worships. In tens of speeches he repeated that the Law of this country will be as desired by Islam. We were very un-fortunate that he died before he was able to do so.

I am not saying any thing about secularism here. It is a system followed by a number of countries. We have got a system much better than secularism if we succeed in having our independant and well selected government in this country which can shape and implement Islamic acts here.

Well our main problems are poverty, population, education and corruption. If for instance, there was no poverty here, no one would have been corrupt and every one was well educated;;; then we may not have been talking about secularism or any other system at all.

Unless each of us (definitely including myself) will try to put his best efforts in his surroundings just to help as much people as possible, this state of our country is not going to change. Try to be at your best in educating as much people as you can, help people in need with money or save them from some problems. If at least some of us follow this pattern, very soon we’ll wil see its good results in our surrounding as well as in politics and country.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Pakistan has been a secular state since its creation and the experiment has failed the people who are saying they want to try more secularism this is like saying to a cancer victim here take some more cigarettes :(

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Ivan and the Hizb, we dont think Pakistan is a failed state. Failure is something you losers from the Hizb should be well acquinted with by now, afterall your khalifah emirate is no where to be seen :hehe:

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

So is facism (Talibanism), Munafiqat (MMA)…

Pakistan was created by one of the greated secularist of the Sub-Continent, whether it sud be secularists or not is upto the ppl of this country. I for one will vote for a secularist Pakistan as professed by my great leader MA Jinnah.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Sorry no sincere muslims is going to support kufr secualrism you in very small minority there i support islam like my great leader Muhammad(saw)

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Well Pakistan was declared as an Islamic Republic, and Jinnah stated several times that Pakistan will be a state based on Islam. But since Jinnah became ill and died just in a year, and did not had enough time to make some law. After his death other politicians had disputes and whatever. For about 10 years we did not made any contribution towards making some Law or System for this country. Thus the system inherited from British was in cntrol for this time too. That was secular. Then our main leaders had either died, assassinated or were not as powerful in politics. Some creep Government Servants and Generals got control of the government and modifeid the British inherited system with adding the name of Islam and Muslim at some points. This Law (System) came in as the First Law of Pakistan. All other governments modified this Law to make it more Islamic or more secular as required, thereafter.

So we never had implemented or even tried to implement the System for which Jinnah and Muslim League has attracted Muslims residing in all areas of the sub-continent.

Now after that We either had corrupt politicians (working for either Swiss Bank or the World Bank) in power or Generals. For such leaders, the modified British secular Law provided them enough ways of manipulating power to keep hold on people like us or even on politicians who were not powrful at the time.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

You got it all wrong though, your facts i.e.. Jinnah never declared it as an Islamic Republic, it was called the ‘Dominion of Pakistan’, and this was actually changed in the mid 50s, a long time after Jinnah’s death, just to please the religious groups.

What youre saying, how Jinnah would have implemented the system had he not passed away is based on pure speculation on your part.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Why is it that everytime I mention the hizb-ul-tafriq, ak47 comes in defending it :hehe: Isnt it odd for someone who claims hes not a hizbul, but spends his entire day playing khalifopoly.

And yeah, the hizb-ul-jokers do not represent Islam, they represent a bunch of political idealists, who are already banned and labelled terrorists in alot of countries, including Pakistan.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Well,

My grand father (who died some years back) as well as many other old people in our areas attended many of Jinnah and other Leader’s speeches, well before THE PARTITION, and after the partiotion too. Those people and many like them were really the people who risked every thing in hand for the sake of Pakistan. We are just big mouths.

Kheir each and every such person talked until he died that Jinnah always called Pakistan as an Islamic Republic, unless doing so, he might have not gathered almost all the Muslims of india under Muslim League’s banner.

So as you claim that some one changed this from ‘Dominion of Pakistan’ to this then that same persons changed minds of millions of people tooo???

Ohhhh, they were great mind makers then, and some research must be done on those people to know how can we change other people’s mind.

Any way who were these people???

I mean some people these days, (when life is busy, national spirit is not as high, and people just care of having a house, marriage and a car), are trying to prove that Jinnah wanted Pakistan to be a ‘Dominion of Pakistan’ or a secular country. But till there is some spirit in our nation, such people will never succeed.

Re: Islamic or Secular State ?

Obviously, you’re relying on people for your history, and not the facts. There was no such thing as ‘The Islamic Republic of Pakistan’, before the mid 50s. Go and study your history books please, and please I am not interested in what your grandfathers told you, if you could use some historic archive to prove me wrong, only then I will continue the discussion.
