First of all I completly disagree with the notion that mine or yours work or Knowledge towards religion is anywhere near comparing to the scholars's work. We can choose not to listen and live our lives the way we want but that does not abolish the fact that our "work" towards islam is puny to the level of nonexistance. Secondly quran is not meant to be a private conversation between te GOd and prophet. When some order is adressed towards prophet it implies to other muslims as well. Same goes for the prophet's wives. We are also asked to live our lives in manner of the prophet. There are so many examples from quran where prophet is addressd but it goes for all muslims. Anyway as I have said everyone can choose to live however they want because in the end everyone is responsible of his/her own acts. But the fact remains that we have absolutely molded the religion to our needs, what fit our lifestyle and satisfy our conscious and we do not like when told that it may be wrong in anyway. Calling a spade a spade is very difficult however it amazes me that kal kay bachay start to challange the work done with through research and start acting like the Islam police.
Peace bebo
If you permit me to see what the problem is?

Good topic. My understanding is there is no such thing as Islamic fun.(Fun in the sense of actual fun). Reason is Islam forbids to waste time in Idel activites which make you forget you duty towards allah. Muslims should spend any spare time in ibbadat because you never know which moment is your last. Israff is forbidden and extra amount of money should go to charity. For women it is even thougher because she is not suppose to leave the home with out any real purpose and the parda issue also makes it difficult. One cannot even watch tv because one sould not see na mahram ppl, Cannot throw lavish parties because Islam encourages simlicitiy and forbid Israf. Having said that I dont think it is practical and one would go nuts living in such confinement.

Good topic. My understanding is there is no such thing as Islamic fun.(Fun in the sense of pointless/frivolous/shaitanic fun). Reason is Islam forbids to waste time in Idel activites which make you forget you duty towards allah. Muslims should spend any spare time in ibbadat because you never know which moment is your last. but this could be fun to do ... right?
Israff is forbidden and extra amount of money should go to charity. better to go to charity, but even this can be fun ... right? ... A smile shows I am having fun, a smile is charity
For women it is even thougher because she is not suppose to leave the home with out any real purpose and the parda issue also makes it difficult.but she can have fun at home ... no? Fun with decoration, fun with family, fun with managing the affairs
One cannot even watch tv because one sould not see na mahram ppl, there is nothing wrong in seeing na mahram, it is to have lustful thoughts when looking at na mahram which is not allowed, lowering the eyes is an instruction for when in public and no intent or reason is there to interact. Also when there is risk of being attracted. Non-mahram female to male interactions are allowed on certains levels.
Cannot throw lavish parties because Islam encourages simlicitiy and forbid Israf. parties are not the only means to fun
Having said that I dont think it is practical and one would go nuts living in such confinement - **this is the real problem statement. If what you say is Islam then it has to be practical, but if what you describe is not practical then you need to re-evaluate what Islam really means to you. Something that you claim to be such and such with no obligation to adhere to it on account of it being impractical or to fulfil the practical requirements of Islam and being satisfied with it. ...
Islam is fun if you know how **
