Re: Islamabad Lock Down

So are they still trying to shut down the Capitol? I don’t get what’s going on anymore? Supposedly Salman Ahmed got arrested then escaped, and then no one showed up to some rally except Sheikh Rasheed?

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

MQM used to shut down Karachi by threats to businesses, burn buses/transportation, threat/torture/harass anyone not towing their line. PTI is occupying streets. Is this really a ‘comparison’?

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

PTI is trying to be MQM, but they are not succeeding. MQM start was based on ethnic injustice, PTI is well based on Bakwas of a lunatic who is hallucinating! I hope some driver run over people blocking road to send a message this is unacceptable and never be tolerated.

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

You our of your mind? you want “some driver” to injure and kill people who are protesting against Govt? I can see hatred towards Imran from your post and you have every right to hate him but even his extreme haters like Anwar Pasha etc have never hoped & wished for someone to kill PTI supporters.

which party do u support or vote by the way? PML(N) is my guess (2nd guess is Fazloo)

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

As things are progressing, seems like on 2nd NOv either PTI will lockdown ISB or police/nawaz/shahbaz will.

So what is the difference b/w PTI’s Islamabad lockdown and PML(N)s lockdown of almost 40% of Pakistan? PMLN has blocked all motorways from KPK to PUNJAB. Inter city highways in Punjab from large cities are also blocked.

oh and soon as Nawaz was done with his jalsa, Shahbaz enforced 144 in WHOLE PUNJAB.

also

"The Punjab police have begun impounding hundreds of containers, most of which were carrying exports goods headed to Karachi port, in different parts of the province apparently to stop activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led opposition parties from enforcing the lockdown of Islamabad on November 2."

Containers impounded in Punjab ahead of PTI ?lockdown? - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

Dharney, Jaloos, Ehitajaj etc are part of democracy. BB did it, Nawaz did it, MQM did it, everyone does it.

Shame on Nawaz Sharif and Shame on Shahbaz Shareef. I guess they think they will remain in power forever. They forgot what Mush did with them, it can happen again with them. Phir roti shakal ki picture aa jayee gi lockup sai Nawaz Sharif ki

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

No I am actually serious! Protest all one wants but when protestors start encroaching others right to go to work, open business, go to school, there is nothing wrong in running over them if they are blocking public roads. I dont give a damn what they are protesting if they are blocking some one’s life period! Did you see that SOB PTI worker hitting a Father infront of his childern on bike taking them to school ? What that father will tell their childern, will that father ever vote PTI, will any one related to him now ever vote PTI. I really wished he had run over him or the one following to make a statement.

This is what it has come down to because a SOB hallucinating loser who lost elections lost in courts in his lust of power which he well never get in this life is inciting violence. I am just saying if people have any self respect they should not allow any other scum bag to block roads.

I am not wishing some one to kill PTI supporters, I am wishing some one to stand up to scum bags trying to block roads, go sue me.

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

Do all the protest you want, BUT NO blocking roads, no blocking people going to work, no badmaashi to make businesses shut. Make a calll for Strike and see how many really follow call of strike, ZERO ZILCH nada but offcourse this scum bag leech imran after living off wealthy women and now being prostitute of likes of Tareen wont accept. Govt did right to pre empt and killed the idea of any Shut down. Who the HELL is imran to force a shut down of capital. What will he get shutting down Pak Secretrait where pensions of people are signed, contraacts are signed etc. Absolutely NO way in hell any one can be allowed to stop government fuctions. This is not up for debate, this is terrorism and Kudos to Govt.

Nothing will happen on Nov 2nd. imran will bark like a stray dog to some thousand workers mostly from kpk, in ground and thats it, he got the message and i hope he dare try doing something else and he will get his worth. There is limit to being a scum bag and imran has gone beyond that, this sob loser is worse thing happened to any one.

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

it is complete chaos. no one knows what is going on. no idea what is PTI’s strategy or policy anymore. they cannot shut down tthe capital as it is against the law and the court has already asked them to stay away from shutting don the capital. it will be a criminal activity

and PMLN govt is already in a panic mode torturing PTI workers and blocking all major highways. they should have waited till Nov 2d to see what exactly PTI wanted to do

country is in a major deadlock and total chaos

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

decent, can you pls tell why are you doing this? why are you confusing 2 different things

dharnas and jaloos are one thing and Imran was allowed to have his dharna for months without any major hindrance and he just had his jaloos in lahore few weeks ago but shutting down the capital by force is a different proposition

yes PMLN shd not use force before Nov 2nd …agreed but what is your stand? do you support PTI shutting down the capital or not? . straight answer pls

LAHORE: The Punjab government on Saturday imposed Section 144, banning assembly of four or more people across the province.

The ban will come into effect from midnight today and remain valid till November 7.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, violators of the ban will be dealt with strictly.
The move comes despite clashes between opposition protestors and police in the federal capital.
Both PTI and PPP strongly condemned the ban and use of brutal force against the peaceful workers.
Dozens of PTI workers were rounded up by the capital police on charges of violating the Section 144. – SAMAA

Re: Islamabad Lock Down

Yes it is complete chaos if one looks it from Media, specially ARY’s view point…

Here is the real situation of Lahore and Sialkot:

Lahore, lawyers and their supporters tried to shut down mall road ( beating people for not listening) being shunned away and traffic was normal in few minutes…

On Friday, normally between 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 is rush hour…traffic is normally jam in these hours…

On Friday, i was in Sialkot and feared that it might be hercules task to reach Lahore ( as i have to attend a wedding in the evening) but guess what, there was no or unnoticeable protest in Sialkot and Gujaranwala…i reached Lahore on time without any major hurdle…

Lahore was open as usual…few people here and there were trying to block roads but when people resisted and on some occasion police reached the venue no one stood the ground…being resident of Lahore we are use to see people proresting of things at Chairing Cross…PTI couldn’t even gather enough to register protest there…

Life was totally normal in Lahore, Sialkot and Gujranwala…
Friends and Family members who came from Faisalabad and are hardcore supporters of PTI were saying Imran Khan was trapped, had Raiwind Jalsa not seen such success, IK would have never announced this shut-down and Mian Brothers played a game with IK…and IK fell for it…

Yesterday evening there was a show called Muhaaz on Dunya TV…it will give you clear idea of how many workers of PTI are there in Bani-Gala…

People of Pindi would confirm that apart from Raja Bazar/Committe Chowk…all Pindi and ISB had life as usual..

In Karachi, PTI announced a protest rally after Jumma Prayer, the rally was not seen anywhere…

Still fail to see chaos anywhere but in PTI ranks…yes there is hype in Media who is dont have anyother content and always try to maks mountain out of Mole.

Writing On The Wall : Atleast Shah Mahmood Qureshi have seen the upcoming Waterloo of 2nd November !

**PTI offers govt a way out ?

AMIR WASIM — UPDATED about 2 hours ago

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has apparently offered the government a way out of the prevailing crisis, suggesting that it enact legislation to constitute a judicial commission to probe the Panamagate scandal before Nov 2.

**Talking to Dawn on Saturday, PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the government still had time to prevent the situation from worsening by convening sessions of the National Assembly and the Senate in order to pass the opposition-sponsored bill on the Panama Papers leak.

“If the government is serious, it can even promulgate an ordinance for the constitution of an inquiry commission under the terms of reference (ToR) unanimously presented by all opposition parties,” Mr Qureshi said.
**
The PTI leader said if the government was serious, the bill could be passed by both houses within half an hour. “It is possible; there is no need for debate. The members will only be req*uired to say ‘aye’ and the bill can be sent to the president for assent and conversion into an act of parliament.”

Shah Mehmood Qureshi calls on govt to pass opposition-backed Panamagate inquiry bill

**

Asked if the PTI could consider cancelling its Nov 2 protest if the government acceded to this proposal, Mr Qureshi said:

“A mere announcement is not enough, we want an act of parliament. Let them do it first.”**

Talking to media a couple of days ago, PTI chairman Imran Khan had stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif still had time to consider two options — either resign or present himself for accountability under the ToR prepared by all the opposition parties.

Meanwhile, the situation in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad remained largely peaceful on Saturday, except for a few skirmishes between PTI workers and police outside the Banigala residence of Imran Khan.
Earlier in the day, Mr Khan met party workers who were camped outside his residence. He also met police and Frontier

Constabulary personnel deployed there and asked them not to take the law into their own hands as they were subservient to the state and not any individual or a group.
Mr Khan asked them to provide protection to citizens, which was their primary responsibility.

Later, through a “written and signed statement”, Mr Khan appealed to the people of Pakistan to come out of their houses on Nov 2, declaring it to be a “decisive day”.

Meanwhile, a few skirmishes between the PTI workers and the law enfo*rcement agencies personnel were reported at Pakistan Chowk in Banigala, when scores of party activists attempted to march towards the barricades erected on the road leading to Mr Khan’s hilltop residence.

Due to police checkposts on various roads leading to Mr Khan’s residence, scores of party workers had to travel there on foot.

The LEAs personnel did not allow the party workers, even the elected representatives, to go to Mr Khan’s residence. They also did not allow the workers to send food items inside.

PTI MNA Murad Saeed held negotiations with the law enforcement personnel at the checkpoint, but he was not allowed to carry food items inside either.
