Imran Khan all frustrated and after getting fed up with rallies have decided to shut-down or lock-down Islamabad…
If iam not mistaken, political parties normally gives a call of strike and if that particular party have enough support or it is a public cause and they have sympathy with the cause, they oblige and do not show up to their trade centers and offices remains idle with low attendance and very little transport on the roads…
And then we have example of Altaf Hussain, who use to get the city of Karachi shut with terror…whoever violate Altaf’s decision of strike use to be smoked… this became trade mark of Karachi strike…
Now we have this IK, who’d tried to make 14 August a controversial date, who for the first time in history didn’t let Parliament to stand united on Kashmir issue and Indian aggression for his petty political gains and he is going to lock - down capital.
I am very much interested in his strategy and tactic on this! Is he going to call for a strike and see of People of Islamabad oblige? Or is he going to take Altaf Hussain’s path and would force it on the people by blocking roads and resisting people and security forces…
Its wait and watch…i highly doubt he’ll go for strike call because he knows he is going to be ignored and laughed at…so he seems to be left with 2nd option only…
In this option will he burn people alive or shoot them down like MQM use to do???
He no longer has support he used to have to lock down Islamabad or anyother city for that matter. Also, his followers do not have patience or paid 200 RS a day like that of Padri’s to stay and block streets. Finally, there are two NA seats from Islamabad, one is solidly PMLN, the urban seat was won by PTI, I think these are people who will suffer most in case Imran goes with his plan and most probably PMLN will get the seat back in 2018. Sharif will toy with him, they want him to do agitation, they want him to come and do stupid things so they have a scape goat for their less than stellar performance, make him look an idiot in front of establishment, etc. Another set of generals is on their way out, the more and more coming up now are battle fought guys in my opinion and upper echelon of Army is getting more apolitical. While Imran gave lot of hope to them and others, his antics and language is enough for establishment to stick with tried and tested. Nawaz is brilliantly handling all this with simple patience and getting in Imran’s head.
Whatever Imran says or do, PMLN will NEVER EVER agree to opposition TOR’s and they shouldnt either. They have numbers in parliament. Govt TOR’s have nothing wrong in them either. There is nothing wrong to start investigating Sharif family, Tareen, Aleem, Imran’s sister first etc. If i understand Govt’s point of view correctly. Just like in case of 2014 dharna, Govt stood by its commission offer on day 1 and got every bit of what they wanted, history will be repeated, I think!

نواز شریف کے لئے عمران کا انداز سیاست بہت سود مند ہے۔ دن رات اس کے نواز شریف پر لے دے کرنے سے وہ ہمہ وقت ہشیار اور خبردار رہتے ہیں۔ اگر کہیں بھولے سے بھی کوئی کرپشن کرنا چاہے تو بھی نہیں کر سکتا کہ عمران پلس میڈیا انہیں خوف زدہ کر دیتا ہے۔اور سب سے بڑی بات ترقیاتی کاموں کی رفتار بڑھتی جا رہی ہے کہ اگلے الیکشن میں عوام کے لئے کچھ اگر نہ کیا گیا تو عمران انہیں شکست دے سکتا ہے۔گویا ایک معنوں میں عمرانی سیاست میاں برادران کے لئے وہ ہوا بنی ہوئی ہے جس کی وجہ سے وہ اونچا اور اونچا اڑنے کی کوشش پیہم کر رہے ہیں۔
نظر آ رہا ہے کہ بہت سے کام کرنے کے باوجود وہ کہیں گے کہ وہ تو اس سے بہت زیادہ کرنا چاہتے تھے مگر عمران کی مسلسل حکومت کمزور بلکہ گرانے کی سیاست اور اس کے لئے احتجاجی طرز عمل نے رکاوٹ ڈالے رکھی۔عوام جو اپنی آنکھوں سے سب دیکھ رہے ہیں اس عذر کو تسلیم بھی کریں گے۔
imran khan is playing with fire. how will he shut down Islamabad? he has no right do it. it will force govt to show power and we will have dead bodies. is that what he wants so that army intervenes?
yes govt has been playing around on the issue of corruption but you cannot shut down the capital. I am with him in his fight on corruption and on panama leaks but how about if he goes to Faisalabad and then to all other big cities and put those big screens and educate people just like he did in lahore. it was a master stroke.
if nothing happens, so be it or go to court. that is what democracy is. you dont shut down the capital. keep on educating people, organize rallies, organize your own party and get ready for elections. shutting down capital will be a disaster
