I hope this name will never be changed as he was true friend of Pakistan. I agree with you that passion of naming everything as Benazir is uncalled for. This sounds stupid.
In past there are number of monuments or sights named such as Ayub Bridge, Ghulam Mohammad Barrage, Ayubia etc, none have ever objected and why it should be. Let these names continue to remind the era when these people ruled Pakistan.
Do you remember the infamous Hathora Group during Zia's era? They had cause terror across many cities specially Rawalpindi, Karachi and other areas in Punjab. Guess who was behind supporting the group? The Libyan intelligence of the great friend of Pakistan (Gadafi). And, I know this thru someone I knew back then from MI. And, he was no junior officer either.
