You mean want a one sided view of God. This is not inconsistency in the text of the Quran.
My short critical review: I didn't find it exceptionally well written or in logical order, I was baffled at the different messages that went between tolerant and intolerant, too much empahsis on Arab culture and too much emphasis on worship.
That being said, I have an equally critical review of the Bible, especially the OT. That doesn't mean they weren't inspired by God or don't contain wonderful things. I just don't think it is the best written book in the history of the world or IMO the FINAL message.
These are still not inconsistencies in the text. This means you do not want to subscribe to the creed of Islam. This is what I was stating, Ummm was trying to undermine the consistency of Quran by quoting isolated verses. What the message is, warrants a different discussion.
