Out of the 234 nations of the world, Islam is the majority religion in 48, annd a significant minority in 26. Thus, Muslims play a major role in nearly one-third of the nations of the world. While the Middle East constitutes the heartland of Islam, the largest number of Muslims (more than 40% of the world total) are found in Bangladesh, India (a minority of 100 million), Indonesia, and Pakistan. According to a study by the American Jewish Committee, the Muslim population of the United States is 1.9 million to 2.8 million.
And the numbers continue to grow, shattering the myth about ‘Born into Islam, and bound by culture alone’…the fact is that the more people learn about it, the more adopt it as their faith.
