Is it sensible for the non-believers to choose that fate when they are not compelled to do so and have been explicitly informed about where that choice leads to? Belief in Allah SWT doesn't cost you a dime but a lot of ego.
Explicitly informed by what/whom? A book they don't believe in or respect? If one doesn't have that belief then there is no "choice". And if one acquires that belief just avoid hellfire then is based on selfishness and not spirituality - which means nothing.
