A perfect religion is one that perfectly caters for the imperfection of mankind, encourages mankind to improve and strive and makes mankind realise his imperfections in the process, enabling him to contrast himself to his Creator.

I do mean contrast and not compare, perhaps that is why it seems odd to you that I say this? Allah (SWT) is comparable to none, which means contrastable to all. No?
By realising our own shortfalls we should realise that humans can never be Divine, this concept preserves and affirms Tawhid.
"we seek perfection, and ALLAH SWT is only Perfect. We are trying to seek ALLAH SWT". we both smiled.
But those who think of themselves as perfect end up committing shirk, don't they?
Those who consider themselves perfect, end up in backbiting with the use of sleazy language. Can we ignore them? I do not know. We can always tell them the right thing and move on. You can only try for barking dogs to stop barking but then, you got to change your way. Don't you?

So as I stive to do perfect job each time everytime, am I attempting to commit shirk?
