What parts of Bible do muslims believe in?
We believe in all parts of Bible which are in conformity with Quran. The reason being that Quran is one intact book, unchanged since revealed. Had Bible been unchanged we would have believed on it 100%. Actually Quran is the last of God's revealed commandments!
Quran is authentic because:
-it has no two or three versions. It is one doubtless Book on which 1.5 billion Muslims believe.
-It is learnt by heart my millions and not even a little bit difference emerged in the original Arabic text.
- God Himself has said that He will protect it!

What parts of Bible do muslims believe in?
[/QUOTE]
According to Surah Jumaa in Quran, People who were given Bible coudn't bear its load. Therfore, we believed that the Holy Bible is a true Holy Book sent by Allah but manipulated by evil people to gain their personal benefits. Its very hard to determine that what part of the Holy Bible is True but it is also stated that true Christians would be able to recognize the authenticity of Quran when they will hear it. And, Indeed Allah is the Only Source of Guidance. Jazaak Allah
We believe in Bible without ne doubt that it is the book of Allah. of course with the changes it has been gone through its authenticity is questionable. however even if we had the true 100% proper bible we are still not to believe in it. Because when the Quran was revealed all the previous revealations were cancelled. Each book was revealed at its own period which disscussed the problems of that time. The Quran describes of problems relating the present time which the Bible does not. so Muslims beleive that Bibile is the book of Allah but Muslims should not follow the Bible!
Ok.
Muslims do, but do not believe in the infalibility of the bible because they think the words have been changed.
Well they have. Been translated into many languages.
Does that mean Koran's word were changed because the words have been translated to English? French? German? Russian? Italian? Spanish?
I believe that Gods words are infalible and he speaks them to people in ways they are able to hear and understand.
Not only have the Bible’s words been changed due to translations, but otherwise also over the passage of time. There are revisions in it (King James version and the previous ones). That puts into question the real message from God.
The point is that how should we as Muslims believe on the present day Bible when it has so many contradictions.
Clear Contradictions in the Bible
http://www.beconvinced.com/RELIGION/CONTRADICTIONS.htm
The link above is not intended to insult, put down, or make fun of Bible. This page is intended to question the reader about the authenticity of the Bible as well as the Quran. Please read the following articles and prove to yourself whether or not the Quran contains contradictions, and whether or not the Bible contains contradictions.
The quest for truth! Let the truth prevail! If I am wrong I will leave Islam and embrace Christianity and vice versa.
I refuse to read something that says on the outset, difficulties, bible 1, or bible 2, and asks if the bible is Gods Word.
I believe the bible is Gods Word. It teaches morality, therefore in my opinion bible is infallible. God's words are infallible.
One can argue and question the bible, but it's moral truths are infallible.
And the moral truths need not be questioned.

Suppose that makes me infallible. Absolutely.
God isn't.
How come there are Sunni's, Shias and Saudi Wabbis? muslims? Do they each read something different? Or is it that their version of the Koran is interpreted differently?
I stick with the truth that God is infallible.

Lots of contradictions in the Bible. Absolutely.
Does that mean that Abraham never had sons named Ishmael or Issac?
Or is that part infallible? And Issac's mother was Ruth and Ishmaels mother was Hajar? Or is that part infallible?
Was the earth really created in 6 days? Or do you think thats just a story to try to explain life?
Is there no discrepancy in the Holy Koran? I think Mohammad was unable to read and write, so how is that your so certain that the Koran is God's word, yet question if the Bible is God's word?
Much of the Bible was written after the fact. Relied on oral tradition.
If you have 4 people saying something kinda the same but tell the story differently does it make all of them wrong? Does it make any of them wrong? Or did they tell the story the way they understood it?
If you translatie something from a dead language into readable language.. do the words change? Does that make the work unusable? Does it mean the work is a lie?
If the story is similar but told by different people and written down by different people does that make it untruthful?
A lie?
Does it mean that something was purposefully changed to support someones idea? If so? Why is it that basic theme is similar? And how come all versions of the stories are included?
And why are there so many different versions of the same stories leading to the same conclusion? And of the same theme?
Exactly! Muhammad (PBUH) was illiterate! He did not know how to read and write. It was not a book(Quran) produced by him. It was a revelation from God.
My question is that why believe in something that has contradictions. Contradictions mean that there are 2 points of view. So only one can be right. Which one? Contradictions will lead people estray.
In the case of Quran there are no 2 views. Just 1. Its words are purely from God, in the same language it was revealed. Directly from God! Tell me if there are any contradictions? Show me one contradiction? So isn't it better to atleast ponder, what it says since its authentic.
Even a little bit of discrepency is enough to lead a person estray. A little bit of mistake in the holy scripture puts the authenticity of the whole book in jeopardy. If there is one thing contradicting and wrong, what guarantee is there that the other parts are right.
How many Gods are there, one or many?
Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8
and Genesis 1:26; 3:22; 11:7; 1 Cor. 8:5; I John 5:7
*One God **
(Deuteronomy 6:4) - "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!"
(Isaiah 43:10) - ". . . Before Me [YHWH] there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me."
(Isaiah 44:6) - ". . . there is no God besides Me."
(Isaiah 44:8) - ". . . And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none."
*Many gods **
(Genesis 1:26) - "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . ."
(Genesis 3:22) - "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil . . ."
(Genesis 11:7) - "Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
(1 Corinthians 8:5) - "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords")."
(1 John 5:8) - "For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement."
My objective is in no way to offend you in any way. But don't these major differences change the very concept of religion about God. Only one thing can be right. Either God is one or He is not one. So what should we believe. Ok I want to become a Christian, because I fear that if i am wrong i will go to hell - right! So what should i do please tell me. I want to know what is true. Shouldn't we question things with reason and logic? May God show us the right way.
As far as shia sunnis or any other sects of islam is concerned, the basic beliefs are the same. There are minor differences in some interpretations. The concept of God is one. The concept of Prophethood is one, one same Quran, all 5 pillars of Islam are same. Almost everything is same. During Hajj, we all gather in the same place and pray together in the same way. Do you see any difference even in prayer between the Muslims?

Dear sister, i only thought of talking to you because you are a sensible person. Without even reading the thing you passed a judgment that will not read somethin----bible 1 or 2. The writing is in two pages or part - 1 & 2 and it never said Bible #1 & 2.

Well I lied. I looked at it. Some words made a little sense. Not all did.
and I could tell you why it made sense, also.

Is it all written down exactly the same? Do all read it the same?
Yes all read the same. The differences arise where for example, sunnis say that while praying hands should be tied, while shias say that they should be straight on the side. The way prayers is made is not in the Quran. In the Quran there are commandments for prayer. The personal example of the Holy Prophet (Sunnah) explains how to pray.
Quran is exactly the same. 100% No difference at all anywhere! No versions, no differences, same intact Arabic text as it was when revealed. Take one Quran from Indonesia and another from USA, they will be the same, or Iran or Morocco or anywhere. Not only that, it is even read the same since 1400 years, in its original language Arabic. So all Muslims learn to atleast read Arabic, since even the five daily prayers are in Arabic too.
