It has happened before … our dear Shuyukh have already given forecast of this … extreme groups have a habit of imploding … because the route for escape is not there. You are either with them and fighting or not with them and that will cause huge issues. The minions don’t realise it … but it is a matter of time. At the moment the dissenters are probably learning that that lifestyle is too heavy going for them. They are probably being called spies or murtads and killed. This is going to be recalibrate the external view of them and support will stop. Internally they will become more desperate and confidence in leadership will drop and conflict will begin.
I believe people who are truly repentant need to be helpful to their home countries … yes they may be arrested, but if they help them out and then go on to be contributors to building a good society then may be they can earn some forgiveness. They should not have gone in the first place.
Terrorists arent immune to guilt, fear, and other maladies of the human psyche. PTSD must be rife among these people. and the realization that they have burned all their bridges is a harsh reality to live in. May this be a wake up call for fools everywhere.
