Aside from FC, the Rangers of western Pakistan and different from Frontier Constabulary, I think that at a minimum 70k? troops are deployed for operations in KP. In karachi, army gets all the credit even though Rangers are jointly owned by civvies and army, while Skeleton gets all the credit in KP. Do you think that everything would be horky dorky with the supermen aka KP police if and when the army is not there?

It is actually IG Nasir Khan Durrani (IK gets some credit here because he wanted Nasir as IG) who has made a difference. Whether we like it or not, but one of the things PTI has done well in KPK is depoliticising the police. It may not be perfect but KPK police is still better than the police in other provinces (and I have heard this from people who have visited Peshawar etc. during the last year).

Infact Shahbaz Sharif was reluctant to let Durrani (previously worked as Punjab Counter Terrorism Department Additional IG) go because of his highly professional reputation and good performance.
