[21:35]We granted not everlasting life to any human being before thee. If then thou shouldst die, shall they live *here *for ever?
[21:36]Every soul shall taste of death; and We prove you with evil and good by way of trial. And to Us shall you be returned. See how Allah made the Holy prophet PBUH a standard and said that If he SAW can die, how is it possible that someone else is here to live for ever? Thus, if Holy Prophet PBUH is dead, everyone else BEFORE him is dead.
provide me with the correct interpretation please.
Peace Mr. Popat
Perhaps you misunderstood my concerns, it is not correct to undertake verse by verse interpretations of a matter when the whole matter is not before us to analyse together. However, the verse above is clear enough to take the meaning understood by us so let me elaborate.
First of all no one is granted immortality - that is true Isa (AS) is not immortal, if he is to live even 5000 years then one day he (AS) shall die.
The condition of the next part of the verse is that if Muhammad (SAW) shall die then there is no chance that other beings will not die. Because if anyone were to be granted immortality it would be him, (SAW).
Okay now because the verse is not talking about anybody in particular it also refers to some people born before Muhammad (SAW) will actually live past him, he will die, but they will soon follow. So far this is true. It shall also be true with Isa (AS) as he was born before Muhammad (SAW) he is alive and although shall live past him he will not be immortal.
This verse is talking about longevity of life it is not saying that everyone will die before Muhammad or has died before Muhammad (SAW), because that interpretation is false because many companions of Muhammad (SAW) were born before him yet died after him.
This should completely rebut your given meaning to this verse. If not we shall stay here for a while to talk more on it. I assure the same occur with all the other verses.
