with regards to successful non-whites, asian and black men going for white women.
It seems to me as if non-whites still subconsciously operate on some inferiority complex in North America
The term that money “whitens” is true from what I have seen from personal experince. There have been times when I have been in many places in USA/Canada and seen asian guys between 18-25 driving around in luxury cars like BWMs and Mercedes Benz with white women. Once or twice you could say it was just people going somewhere. I was there for a while a few years ago and some really ritzy neighborhood had this trend which I observed time and time again.
This is just like the black guys in sports like OJ Simpson, Tiger Woods or Charles Barkley where they go and find a white woman. It seems to me as if this is some trophy or status symbol in their mind to prove to the rest of the world that “I have made it in this white man’s land” and here is my white wife/girlfriend to prove to you without a doubt!!
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
Lahori yaar, If you are black/brown and you live in a country with over 80% white population, it is only normal to have a white girl/boy friend.
Now let’s put that in some perspective. Let’s say that you are a Punjabi living in Karachi, and you marry a Bihari. Would you feel equally astonished about that? If not, why not?
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
I think most of this mentality came from the shamelful days of slavery of black people. That developed the standard of more fair complexion to be considered more beautiful. Surprisingly, whites (as Westerners) think that black or tan is more beautiful. Go figure.
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
and i bet u r white, being lahori?.....its generally just not being happy with what u have....if dark people go for whites, i have seen an equal number of whites have a thing for colored folks....in fact the whiter they are the more they hate being white...:p
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
What’s equally interesting to ask is that why Pakistanis living in the Arabian Gulf marry Arabs, while Arab men go to Bangladesh and Pakistan to buy young brides? Why is that?
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
much more interesting is the fact that in bollywood every single smuggled white khan (n no i didnt count) has a dark wife, generally east indian...we kallas rock...:p
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
Everyone has their own tastes, it’s subconscious.
I respect all races but when I was younger the thought of dating someone from a non-white (except chinky and black) South Asian descent in particular was repulsive, seriously no word of a lie I didn’t find OUR people attractive in the least, I was overly white washed.
Then as I started getting into eastern culture I started fancying a few brown people now it just depends on my mood whether I find brown (desi/latina/m.e.) or white attractive, it varies some days I’ll look at a brown girl and think ‘eughh they don’t do anything for’ other days I’ll be like that towards white girls.
I’ve always in the mood for black and yellow (oriental) women though, there's just somethging about them but my tastes change so..
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
I’m so sick of this retarded attitude that Paki guys have about women—a white woman is a “trophy” and paki women are less worthy of love and respect. And to be honest, Paki women are no less at fault here. There’s been a lot of girls (just on this board alone) who go around calling white women sluts and cheap and easy, and that the guys who date/marry white women just wanted some sex. I swear all you people are pathetic :yukh:
Re: Is white or fair-skinned considered more beautiful?
^ Tell me about it! I am so fed up with being told that my husband married me because I'm white, or to get a greencard, or that we must have been sleeping together before marriage - I guess I don't have any qualities that would make someone actually want to marry me!
