Re: Is violence the answer?
You have to provide opportunities to people in your country, cut the corruption, and deliver proper punishments to those people that have done wrong.
Hard to do in Pakistan.
But keep in mind. Law enforcement, from time to time, does require violence. However, the people, by agreeing to have this government and live under it, have agreed to give that power to the government. Therefore, all this hue and cry about how can Pakistan’s government raise their hand against another muslim is retarded.
If someone’s done something wrong, they get handcuffed and dragged off to jail. If they resist, they face resistence. If they resist with weapons, they’re going to get violent resistence from the government. Its that simple, and this simple concept is clearly outlined in Islam and Islamic history.
Now, violence in the hands of people? No. I cannot possibly think how anyone can think its ok for people to be roaming around with AK-47’s and that too the jaahil unpars that we’re seeing pouring out of places like Lal Masjid!
Pakistan’s people NEED to have weapons stripped off them. Sale of weapons has to be illegal, and anyone caught selling them goes straight to jail. Its a country of masoom illiterate devout muslims, right? So no one should have a problem with stripping everyone of their household stash of arms.
Same goes for a masjid. Pious muslims who just want to be able to follow their religion? Great, then take the arms away. The Prophet didn’t reward every kid borne with a sword, did he?
The way to tackle the problem is to tackle it from many angles… Pump in funds for development, education etc… But we cant rule out direct attacks either…
