There was a guy I was talking to and I told him the exact same thing. I expected to live a life like I have been living all my life. He called me materialistic and basically stopped talking to me. I was reminded of saying this all the time and all I can say is if this started before marriage, what would it have been like after marriage?

I think there is nothing wrong with saying it but if you do then you have to be prepared for the consequences.

Good for him and you both.

If you are right then he was right too for not going forward.
