I still am not understanding what the exact reason of the beating was? If you can even call it a beating, or a "poke" as someone else said. And there are loads of Quranic ayahs that command you directly not to beat your wife, so I'm assuming this was a light tap or something to admonish Ayesha. What I don't get is what was the admonishment for? For running outside?
