its a bridal maxi and i think she told me it was around 3 lakh.
Now a relative got the same dress made as a party outfit from her, for 55000 rupees…it turned out like this:
Shazia qouted me 65000 rs if i wanted it as a party outfit…now my question is, is it worth it?..
As i have no experience or idea about pakistani designers and stuff, so please please help me out
Okay so I don't know anything about prices for clothes in Pakistan but if I'm doing my math right 55,000 rupees comes out to about $600. Is it just me or is that a crazy price tag for that outfit?
$600 for a "party outfit" and $3300 for a bridal is ridiculous IMO. I usually buy my desi outfits in the U.S......and for "party outfits"....I usually pay around $300-$350. And my bridal that I ordered last month cost me $2500 (I'm getting matching churidaar with it so I can re-use it).
If those are the prices I'm paying in the U.S., I'd expect prices back home to be lower.
I'm getting a heavy formal outfit made by a designer in Pak to wear at my BIL's wedding and it is going to be around Rs 50,000..:-/ i shopped around for a while and came to know that a decent formal would anywhere between 35K-50K+++ in Pak given that fabric used is of highest quality and embroidery is fine and design is customized as per customer's demand!
Hey. Just looked at pictures again. As a formal it is not worth the price at all. BUT as a bridal like in the picture, it is very nice. 3 lakh is over the top. 2.5 lakh is the best anyone should expect for this, by anyone I mean any designer who doesnt have a big name.
People like you who are abroad will be suckered into paying 3 lakh. People like us who are living in Pakistan would probably get this within 2.5 lakhs and that would be a good buy. BUT we would also push for dobatta to be heavier, along with the dress AS IT IS in the picture.

I hope that helps you out :)
Okie lemme' get this straight...so people abroad get "suckered" into paying 3 lakh and people in PK can get it for 2.5 lakh! Wow...50 K difference! Looks like you also got "suckered" into paying a mad amount!
I dont understand what you are meaning to say iyla.
Is this sarcasm? If so, it is quite a weak attempt.

I think you need a reality check when it comes to prices of good clothes in Pakistan
and 50K savings is not peanuts.
