Is this appropriate?

Re: Is this appropriate?

LOL...apparently his family has money in Pakistan, so I dont think its an issue of not having seen a 5 star hotel before. I just cant figure out though what the issue is. Why would a guy not want to stay with his wife on a trip? My husband gave up the flight and expensive hotel so he could take me! Maybe its cause they have been married 5 years and we have only been married 6 months? They dont care about being together as much as we do right now? I dont know...and as long as we dont have the issue of them trying to stay in our room, I think this will be a good trip!

and for anyone wondering what kind of company makes people share rooms....well this is a huge company, 50,000 employees just at this location, but in an economy like this, I think everyone is trying to save as much as they can!

Re: Is this appropriate?

May be he wants to enjoy guys time and needs a break from the regular routine. Wife should make her own plans too. A little time sepnd apart is a good thing for couples. His wife should not be insisting on going with him when he does not want her to.
None the less dumping your wife on another couple is plain weird and immature.

Haha. I feel sorry for the friend's wife but to each their own..

PS: Chicago is awesome. I think the weather should be alright in mid-October. Some good restaurants you guys might want to check out are Reza's Restaurant for Persian food, Afghan Kabob for Afghan, and Usmania for desi.
