I alternate between yahoo and google. I’m not really a fan of how much google is storing information on your personal identity and creating a footprint for future purposes thus probably the reason i’ve deleted myself from social network sites.

Lycos used to be fun back in the day lol. Used to go to lycos chat a fairbit.
Used to go msn chat aswell and make my own room, until the mods used to close it down and i’d just remake it lols. Was a sad day when they closed msn chat down

Lol true about alta vista and lycos. They were never top search engines. It used to all be about yahoo back in the day when searching for something.

They must be to be remembered by people. Yahoo rapidly beat them only to be beaten up by Google which has never looked back.
The problem with yahoo is that it brought so much junk when you searched for anything. I hate the new all screen google map interface and I might just switch. Hmmm lets see if yahoo maps and mapquest are up to challenge.

Exactly, they had alot of crap links. Yahoo messed up. They were in a prime position to be where google are now and they flopped. Abit like myspace vs facebook.
