ummm ... may be he was discussing it in an educational circle and at times, such conversation may be pointless for some, but for many people like researchers value these bits and pieces. If we do not like any particular topic, we normally move on.. right?
ok it is a valid question, one which is being puzzled out by geneticists and the science community as well as the general population.
There hasnt yet been found a genetic link or a gene that causes homosexuality but that doesnt mean that it isnt there. There is so much work still to be done in unraveling the mysteries of human development.
While I'm sure that there are some "gays" who are simply perverts (like the ones who cant get enough sex no matter who or what its with), I really think that something went wrong in the wiring of the brains of the majority of homosexuals. From extremely young ages, the vast majority of them knew that they were different. This is exclusive of race, religion, upbringing. So this tells me that something went wrong somewhere.
One day, IMO there will indeed be a test - a dna mapping test - that would be able to identify a homosexual just like today we can have a dna test to see whether a fetus has down syndrome.

Well. I always used to avoid discussing such topics, but when I see some people easily accepting them as normal and trying to convey this message to other people that it is not in control of such people to think/feel like that, I personally think this is a very dangerous concept for the coming generations.
I personally think that there is no excuse for behaving / feeling like that, which is totally unnatural and people start doing it after having experimented some immoral experiences. I know some muslims as well, who easily got convinced that it is right / normal for a person to think/ feel like that. If a muslim starts thinking it is ok, then it means he is denying the "Azaab" (punishment) which Allah gave to the nation of Lot (Hazrat Loot (as)) ONLY for behaving in such manner. (As mentioned in the Quran)
p.s. If we don't educate our fellow young immature muslims now, a day might come (Allah forbid) when a lot of them would grow up to think it is quite normal for a person to be a Gay.
Would you allow your child to be a friend with and hang around with a GAY ? If not then we HAVE to educate them before time.

He does get a harmone rush when he sees a person of his gender who is attractive to him.
A doctor may be able to confirm if there was a penetration (sexual intercourse) involved or not, but kissing, fondling, fore play, oral sex .. can a doctore see that ? But a person who was involved in those activities , only with another person of his gender, would you not call him gay, though he never had Intercourse at all
