Is there a VIP section in the Islamic heaven?

The Islamic hell has levels that is why I wondering if the same is true about the Islamic heaven. Also can one be kicked out of Islamic heaven? I ask this because we know one can serve his or her time in Islamic hell and be freed from it.

Did you see Barbara Walters special last night on the afterlife and the different belief systems? It had two perspectives of Islamic heaven - from a failed suicide bomber and from a moderate imam. Very different versions of how one gets in, but very similar beliefs of what heaven is. No dicussion of levels, everyone got everything they ever dreamed of or wanted.

maybe off topic but the concept of shahadat (martyrdom) is interesting. amazing how people are mobilized into fighting and risking life at someone's order by being promised instant access to heaven.

^ Ok, Semi there is no where in Quran it talks about that....This complete mockery of Islam needs to stop, especailly form a people like PCG...she has no clue about Islam but likes to take pot shots at all people with beards. I didn't say it came from the Quran. It most recently came for an interview on ABC last night with a failed suicide bomber.

Since when do Muslims restrict Islam to what is in the Quran anyway? As I said in another thread, many Muslims practice Islam as 'what scholars have interpreted of what was reported by others of what Muhammed said'. This is one of those interpretations that some ascribe to.

As far as (what I suppose is a dig at Christianity in an attempt to deflect the conversation) how the killing of Jesus saved mankind, I suggest you open another thread. It is a very detailed discussion but I don't think there are many who follow that belief on this board to participate.

Shweety, its not a matter of shutting your mouth, its a matter of eductaing yourself before stating something. I understand its a hard concept for the new generation, but trust me , it will serve you well in your lifetime. Just because you have an opinion about something, it does not mean that it is valid....specailly when you take into consideration that you dont know what you are talking about. You want to sweep that belief under the rug? It was just seen by millions last night, I think it's too late. I'd say those who abscribe to that belief (there are evidently many of them) would like God to bless him for saying it. kaleem i look at religion as a mobilizing tool and thats what i used as a context to saying what i did. i can say the same about u. pity u that u are older than me and still do not see the obvious way people are mobilized using terms like shahadat=instant jannat. and nobody DISRESPECTED. i said i find it interesting.now as an older uncle it was your duty to EDUCATE rather than say “shweety shut oyur ignorant mouth”
also i think my statement was much more respectful than one coming from a much older man who said “did jews kill jesus omg did they hate him …why why why?”

To the best of my knowledge, there will be levels in Paradise.

Here’s what I could find:

Paradise is sometimes mentioned in the plural in the Sunnah, but this does not mean that there are several types of Paradise; rather this is indicative of its greatness and the various degrees and levels in it, or it is indicative of the greatness of the reward of the one who enters it,

We know of no limit to the number of degrees and levels in Paradise. …

Al-Mundhiri said in al-Targheeb: al-Khattaabi said: It said in the report that the number of verses in the Qur’aan is the number of degrees or levels of Paradise in the Hereafter, and it will be said to the reader: ‘Rise through the levels to the extent that you used to read the verses of the Qur’aan. Whoever recites all of the Qur’aan, will reach the highest degree of Paradise in the Hereafter, and whoever recites part of it will reach a level commensurate with that, and the limit of his reward will match the limit of his reading. Al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 2/228

But this idea is subject to further discussion, because the hadeeth speaks of the manaazil (status, position) of those who memorized Qur’aan, not of their darajaat (degrees, levels). The darajah (degree or level) varies according to their efforts in this world, just as there are other acts of faith in which people vary in status, such as sincere faith, jihad and others. So we cannot say that the one who memorized the entire Qur’aan will be in the highest degrees of Paradise in absolute terms.

The highest of the degrees of Paradise is al-Firdaws, as it was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “… When you ask of Allaah, ask Him for al-Firdaws, for it is in the middle of Paradise and is the highest part of Paradise, and above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it spring forth the rivers of Paradise.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2637; Muslim, 2831

Also, those who claim that perhaps the ahadith suggest that by killing the innocents one gets Jannah, please provide evidence for it. I’ve yet to come across a hadith that propogates anything of such nature.

Shweety, I agree my response to your post was strong...having said that I dont agree with you calling me an uncle.....plus Jihad is for Allah only and only he knows the true intentions of a person. You know its not against any religion or any man made laws that if your life and property is in danger you are allowed to take up arms. Dont think that I am condoning suicide bombers or people who kill innocents, I am as an "older uncle" trying to educate you :)

According to christianity, as long as one believed in Jesus, he/she can go to heaven (even hitler, no I am NOT joking, I ask this guy who was distributing these flyers for the Passion of Christ and he told me that).

What about soldiers that get sacrificed on a belief (shaheed in indopak while monkey president sending people to die who don’t wanna just because he thought God told him that).

Actually we all are responsible(partly atleast)for this notion,
any muslim who dies a violent death becomes a shaheed
this word is so-overused,is there a clear fatwa defining a criteria for martydom?
