well there’s no doubt that the percentage of desperate freaks is definitely higher here (depending on the institute of course, I doubt this would happen in a good university). hopefully your friend’s sister has learned her lesson here, don’t give out your phone number, even to your students.

it happened in a renowned university…it doesn’t matter here, i m talking about Pakistan, which ever city or which ever institute you are at u will face the same. may be some exceptions would also be there . ( no doubts some girls also enjoy such things but not all, the typical deep rooted mentality of men here is that all girls are alike. )

If a student needs additional help, the professional/school email and phone number can be given. And it’s better to provide the additional help on the school campus. This is the TYPICAL method for communication between teachers and students in a secondary school setting.

I agree that it was wrong for that student to leak your friend’s phone number to other students. But you can’t put all the blame on the students either. Your friend should have been more careful and she should have thought of the consequences of giving her phone number out.

If it’s happening “every other day,” then your friend needs to change her number or get a new cell phone. Why is she even receiving calls from the students? If she was really that disturbed by the behavior of her students, then she should have changed her number after the first couple of times that the students were bothering her. She wouldn’t allow the problem to happen every other day. Someone might question if your friend secretly enjoys the compliments and attention she’s getting. If she lets this continue, it can bring about rumors and jeopardize her reputation and her job.

yeah right its her mistake that she gave him her personal number. its all happened within only 1 week. she started receiving sms, call etc… she ignored it in beginning but when she realized that this is becoming unbearable she got her sim changed.

Well it depends. In alot of cases, YES the victim usually has a part to play in being treated the way they are. However that is still no excuse for the accused to go on with such a behavior. It is quite tricky because most people think if you are wearing “western” clothes you must be easy to target or if you are blessed with a smiley face that definately means you are showing interest :halo:.

absolutely the victim’s role is also there… her main problem is her lenient behavior. she never snubs anyone bluntly she just ignores little mistakes or politely asks them to stop showing irresponsible behavior in the class.
