Is Tasweerain plural of Tasweer?

Or is it Tasaweer. In Urdu grammar, it is always Tasaweer, but in spoken, everyone says Tasweerain. So which is correct?

Tasaveer is the plural form of Tasveer; But not too many people use this word while speaking it. They (including myself) say Tasveerein.

i think tasveerain is an urdu version of the punjabi word, tasveeraan. and so the correct version is tasaweer.

where is AQ with his persian dictionary when you need him?

c’mon .. everyone in my family also often use the word Tasaaveer too.. interchanged by tasveeraiN as well

Mr. Fraudia, yep the plural of window is window'ain ... lol.

Tasaveer is correct but ya I know most of us use Tasveerain. In written Urdu Tasaveer must be used but in spoken it really doesn't matter.

Tasaweer is correct, though tasveerein is common, commonly used incorrect word though.

I beleive Tasaveer is Arabic “faail” ky wazan pr it is not persian. Meri bat pr yaqeen karo ya na karo but Online Arabic English dictionary pr bhi mat krna Whid jama dykhiy. when I tried Pictures, Al lga kr (In Arabic it is now Propernoun {Ismy Maarfa}not Plural but this Arabic English dictionary is telling me:omg:
Arabic document.write(‘N’);N](http://javascript:showInfo()) التصوير, الرسم I am sure it is not jama of Tasveer but :hehe:

Tasveer in arabic means Picturing, not picture. Picture in arabic is Sura’(t)
Tasveer in persian is what we use in Urdu, that means picture
Tasaveer is the right plural, used in persian also as a plural
