It is quite sometime now since we had any news coming from Syria. When I joined the site, I thought there would be a live thread regarding the happenings in Syria. Has any truce been declared or is it that the world has just stopped caring like they did in Iraq.

A brotherly Muslim country is buying arms from another brotherly Muslim country to arm resistance groups in another brotherly Muslim country to overthrow its government.
So stay tuned, lots of action coming up... :)

I saw this video. It seems really awesome. I wish Pakistan instead of talking with Taliban, should be doing same what Syria is doing with Al-Q, Nusra and other terrorists.
Incident happened on 26 Feb 2014, and terrorists killed were of Nusra - AL-Q militants. Their number were around 250 (as what was claimed) and their nationality were Saudi, Qatari and Chechen.

Terrorists tht always seem ready to kill innocent civilians including elderly, women and children in marketplace to mosques r getting good roasting in syria.....all of a sudden their "jihad" is not so much fun and piece of cake as blowing us worshippers in a mosque.....

So long as ten of thousands are killed by the butcher of Syria to save his precious dictatorship everything is hunky doree. Think who started it. It was the people of Syria who rose against this animal and he did two things, turned this from an uprising against him to a Shia/sunni fight and in came iran to support him and Saudi n the other side. secondly released terrorist held in Syrian jails and converted it into a civil war, in order to save his despicable rule. It is shameful that anyone can support such an animal.

any soul who is responsible for deaths and oppression of innocent human beings will pay for it both in this world and the hereafter...... Asad could have avoided all this mess in the first place if he had implemented meaningful reforms at an opportune time, but what do you expect from yet another middle east dictator.......
but I do support him ...and anyone else for that matter... when it comes to his aids to oppressed people of the region (even tough it comes as a result of political maneuvering more than goodwill), and when it comes to his confrontations against Zionist agents, the armed terrorist who r hell bound to destroy sites and symbols I have huge respect for b/c of my religious beliefs.....

ehsan u r stating facts tht I know but u r missing the point...I am aware of the nature of Baathi regime.....Asad's crimes actually go further back for the role he has played in exporting alQaeda gangs in Iraq and well before tht to the time his father who was 10x worse than the son.......there is no two opinions abt tht to start of with....

Am I the only one who is looking at the video and thinking those people looked like civilians without weapons ... on the whole ... I would not be surprised that they were prisoners who were let go in the dark told to walk away in a straight line and then blown up for the cameras ...
No one will send out a line of people like that in the dark they would split up in to 3 or 4 groups ... in three or four rows each ...
the commentators can say what they like the dead didn't look like fighters on the whole ...

Fighting like this is sick … I could not care less for either Bashar’s bandits or Jabhat al Nusra …
for me this has always been a Syrian movement that has been hijacked … Keeping the dictator in play and creating a scene to distract from the real issue … The Syrians.

Thanks Nussairee ... Will be appreciated I do have Syria close to my heart as my Shaykh is from there. I still don't form my opinions on media based evidence quickly ... I always keep an open mind because these days information is so easily manipulated.

The problem with all this is that there is very little information from unbiased sources. Most of it comes from bodies who have sided one side over another.
