Then why the the first part is labeled as 'alif lam meem' instead of 'alhamd'
I was googling on this topic and found that some people include surah fatiha in the first para or Juz some not. Most valid question here would be: When was the Quran divided in 30 parts. Who did it? and what was the justification?
The main organization during the lifetime of the holy prophet was in terms of surrahs and ayats.
Division into 30 equal Parts came after the lifetime of holy prophet (pbuh)
But whatever the form of organization, Surrah Faitah is an integral part of holy Quran and this fact doesn't change.
