Is Pakistan a "Failing State" or a "Failed State"?

Re: Is Pakistan a "Failing State" or a "Failed State"?

*We have been listening to this nonsense about failed state for the past 60 years. So far nothing has happened and Pakistan has become lot stronger over the years. We do have our challenges and share of problems and InshaAllah we will deal with them. And dont remind me about the Bangladesh Fiasco that was the result of our own selfish and stupid political leaders. And after all said and done both Pakistan and Bangladesh are better off under the current scenario. *

You said it Pir Sahib! Everyone should worry about their own stinky behinds rather than worrying about Pakistan being a failed state or not.

Re: Is Pakistan a "Failing State" or a "Failed State"?

If I'm not mistaken, the Khan of Kallat declared that Balochistan would remain independent, but the British nixed that idea because the state would be too vulnerable. And one of the Pakistani army's first excursions was to Balochistan in 1948 to force the Khan to step down and the Baloch to sign the accesion agreement to officially become part of Pakistan. With NWFP, wasn't there an issue with the Durrand line shortly after the referendum, and that is when the Pakhtunistan movement really began in earnest?

Re: Is Pakistan a "Failing State" or a "Failed State"?

^^ what a joke.....you think that you can move us with this information...

for your kind information...Khan of Qallat..alone was standing aginst Jinnah...as he wanted to be as poewerful as he was in British Raj...with zalim type sardar of his large land and fort...but thr princely Jurga of Balochistan of more than 400 sardars and honuorable land-lords and administrators of balchistan unanimously in a meeting ...joined to Pakistan...and this was presented by Jaugeezai tribe......the uncle of former PM of pakistan..meer zafar ullah jamali...and KJinnah wsa received as a prince when he visited Balochistan after that....

not only that case..soon after Pakistan...Nawab Bugti..played the same card...and recently killed by the Pakistani brave forces.....

whoever will try to challenge the writ of Pakistan...will have to face the music....

you are giving me....one example of Khan of Qallat...while 400 propminent leaders unanimously voted for Pakistan....

And NWFP was again made a center of turmoil...when Sarhadi Gandhi..khan abdul ghaffar khan(bacha khan) ..under the influence of Pandit Nehru...raised the slogan of Pakhtunistan....

on 17 july 1947....refrendum took place ..and supporters of Pakhtunistan got about 1700 votes...and supporters of Pakistan with Nwfp as a province got 42,000 votes.....

so , again your claim is false....

I know that..why you responded to me...because i responded you in Jamaima Khan thread of Showbiz section....and i also know that you are from States...and recent posts in Terrorism thread in General section are disturbing you....

but my dear sister..i cannot put the curtains of history of USA...and what wicked plans it did for past 60 years...do you think...the hijackers of 11 September were fool or mad...who blew their own lives....this wsa just the reaction of the dirty politics which USA and CIA is playing in all the world ...and specially in Middle East....

Re: Is Pakistan a "Failing State" or a "Failed State"?

my definition of failure is that you have the greatest millitary machinery of the world...and alonwith 3 continents..forces ...and still a country is defeated by few thousands....

i do not call it failure..as the word "failure" will feel shame over that.. !!!!!
