Is Music Haraam ?

Re: Is Music Haraam ?

Now that some people are using "I think" also so here is my personal opinion.

Life is too short. The Prophet (saw) always emphasized on doing Zikr in life whenever we get spare time. But the music usually take away that time while we are travelling, waiting for someone or having a spare time.

You know that "Kalima" would easily come on the tongue of those who do alot of zikr in their free time.

I remember the incident of a Saudi person who was once travelling in a car among his friends and got an accident. He was in the state of "nazaa" ( a state between life and death ) People were repeating to him to say kalima but he was repeating the wordings of his favourite song, and he died in that state.
People were angry at him for not saying kalima, but an elder person pointed out that this man used to listen to music most of the time. When you see the angel of death you become so scared that you only repeat unintentionally whatever was your biggest habbit in your daily life
