Re: Is make up deception?
Yeah, I’m confused. Instagram makeup looks fake and thick in real life. It only looks good on Instagram because of camera filters. In real life it’s hilariously bad. No one should be fooled in the first place.

Re: Is make up deception?
question was about ‘makeup’ how did it become solely about instagram and trannys?
Re: Is make up deception?
The main question is why we are so much absorbed in judging people? if someone likes to use make up, let them? if it boosts their confidence how is that your business? many men who get bald go for a hair transplantation, it that a deception? live and let ppl live. They can do whatever they feel like doing. When a girl has scars on her face, you ppl have got problem with that, when she tries to hide it, you have got problem with that. Everyone should just mind his own business.
Re: Is make up deception?
Makeup is to a girl what a beard may be to some guys lol
Re: Is make up deception?
There is no comparison… beard is something that comes n grows naturally, while make-up products are artificial products that are specially designed to give an artificial look to the body.
Re: Is make up deception?
If you read the posts, I’m sure you would find out how it happened.

Isaid girl tryna promote trannies. Watch her label me transphobic lmao.
Re: Is make up deception?
While there is nothing more attractive than beauty which is natural, I admire people who know how to use make up to enhance their looks. It shows their esthetic sense.
Re: Is make up deception?
I love making fun of people, but Gup shup user Melodrama isn’t exactly wrong lmao.
Re: Is make up deception?
doubt the purpose of this thread was to judge anyone. he’s simply asking whether make up is perceived as deceptive or not. as far as sparkly eyelids go.. there is such a thing as “no makeup” makeup and trust me, it covers and contours enough to seem incredibly natural but totally changes the shape and natural appearance of ones face. so in that regard, yes it is still deception. now whether it is intentional or unintentional under rishta-type situations is a different topic altogether.
as LP said, light makeup enhancing certain features wouldn’t come under the same description.
Re: Is make up deception?
Exactly. Don’t understand the anger and defensiveness here. Nobody here is stopping anyone from piling on the makeup. He asked a simple question and the common sense answer is that, yes, it is a deception if you’re altering the shape and make of your features. Makeup goes through trends and you get an idea of what exactly those trends are from youtube videos, from media, from just looking around you. And there are several professional makeup artists who also admit that these days people are wearing too much makeup that drastically alters their natural appearance. I understand that makeup makes women feel more confident about themselves..and I’m sure there’s a body of research on this…I wear makeup myself. However, there’s also got to be some body of research or studies done on the flip/down-side of frequently applying makeup which changes your features…such as the negative psychological effects.
The whole “live and let live” is a given and we can apply this trite and bo-ring saying to almost every issue under the sun. Yes, DUH, people have the right to do with their faces whatever they want; nobody is preventing anyone here. But one also has the right to their opinion about the matter. We go through our days making vocal and silent judgments about everything around us…inanimate things…what looks good…what is meh…what we deem as right or wrong…beneficial or not…practical or otherwise…and somehow some of us think this innate behavior will automatically turn off like a light-switch when it comes to forming an opinion about other people, lol. It’s not even about a competition between Desi women and White women. And yet, still, it was unnecessarily stretched that far. It’s just a simple question …is it a deception? If you don’t think it is…great!..Knock yourself out with the face paint; live your life as you’ll never please anyone. If you’re comfortable with bare skin or the kind of application which leaves the shape of your features as is…great…more power to you, lol.
Re: Is make up deception?
You my friend, are so in the dark.
Let me provide you an example and visual context and then you can decide if this is also deception.
So lets say a guy has always dreamed of dating a girl with a nice bod. To one day find out she wears spanx and has a second belly. Would you feel betrayed? Maybe. Could you be so madly in love to let that go and embrace her for who she is? Also, maybe.

Also to answer the original question, I think it’s deception if it changes your natural features in an extreme way. And guys should be smart enough to recognize that. Do you own due diligence and make sure you’re satisfied with her without makeup if looks matter to you so much. If they don’t, then you can always overlook it and focus on her personality because that eventually matters most.
Re: Is make up deception?
I don’t think makeup is deception. Makeup is not a way to attract men, it is part of grooming for women nowadays and for many its also an art.
Re: Is make up deception?
