Chacha_Ghalib,
What does my religion has to do with it? I said the same thing that you did, that the islamic texts say women shud dress modestly, so jeans n shirt shud b okay as long as ur modest (my words "as long as ur not flaunting ur cleavage).... same what you said.. so my religion obviously didn't hinder my thoughtprocess did it?
Anyway.. I'm not hindu..I'm not muslim.. and I'm both...

Brother my understanding please elaborate on the following
1) kiya mard or urat dono shalwar kameez nahee pehntay pakistan may.......haaaa............... magar design or colors kaa farak hotaa hay
similar is true for jeans and shirts
so yaa to shalwar kameez urat kay leye aharm huwaa yaa phir design/color kay farak say halal............... same for jeans
Islam sab k liye baraabar hai !
Aur Mufti Sahab Ne Kaha tha k mautariz k sath behas karnay ka koi faida nahi i think k islam bohat simple sa aur mukamal mazhab hai.
Aur jo ayaat unhon ne parh k sunai thin un ka tarjuma yehi hai jo mein bayaan kar chuka hoon pehle bhi "Ay Muhammad apni ummat ki baitioon se kehdo k jab ghar se bahar niklein to khud ko kisi bari chaadar se chupa kar niklein"
as it is tarjuma nahi hai kami baishi ALLAH maaf farmaye Amin !
Aur koi bhi aaisa libaas jo jisam k aazaa ko numayaan kare woh mamnuu hai islam mein !
As u said k in pak dono shalwar kamiz pehantay hain mard aur aurat to iss mei fark kya hai
aap aik kaam karna cotton silk ka ya koi bhi ladies ka jora le kar silwa laina aur pehan'na apko fark waazay nazar aa jaye ga !
According to Qur’an and Sunnah there are basically six criteria for observing hijaab;
Extent;
]The first criterion is the extent of the body that should be covered. This is different for men and women. The extent of covering obligatory on the male is to cover the body at least from the navel to the knees. For women, the extent of covering obligatory is to cover the complete body except the face and the hands upto the wrist. If they wish to, they can cover even these parts of the body. Some scholars of Islam insist that the face and the hands are part of the obligatory extent of ‘hijaab’.
All the remaining five criteria are the same for men and women.
The clothes worn should be loose and should not reveal the figure.
]The clothes worn should not be transparent such that one can see through them.
The clothes worn should not be so glamorous as to attract the opposite sex.
]The clothes worn should not resemble that of the opposite sex.
The clothes worn should not resemble that of the unbelievers i.e. they should not wear clothes that are specifically identities or symbols of the unbelievers’ religions.

Brother…you correctly say that men and women should wear different clothes however jeans and shirt for women are different to jeans and shirt for men.
Such as shalwar kameez in Pakistan both male and female wear this but they have different styles for men and women.
7:26 " O children of Adam , we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God’s signs, that they may take heed.

Qur’an 24:30-31:
Say to the believing men that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts; that is purer for them; surely Allah is Aware of what they do. And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their women, or those whom their right hands possess, or the male servants not having need (of women), or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is hidden of women; and let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be known; and turn to Allah all of you, O believers! So that you may be successful.
33:59:
Allah says: “0 *Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their outer garments above themselves *( *when they go out). That is better so that they may be recognized and not molested. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” *
33:32
Allah says: 0 wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women ; if you fear (Allah), then do not be too pleasent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should feel desire (for you).
24:60 :
Such elderly women are past the prospect of marriage,-- There is no blame on them, if they lay aside their (outer) garments, provided they make not wanton display of their beauty; but it is best for them to be modest: and Allah is One who sees and knows all things.
[FONT=‘Times New Roman’]In one tradition, the Prophet Muhammad is quoted as saying: “…If the
woman reaches the age of puberty, no part of her body should be seen but
this — and he pointed to his face and hands.”

From these and other references, the vast majority of Muslim scholars and jurists, past and present, have determined the minimum requirements for Muslim women’s dress: 1) Clothing must cover the entire body, with the exception of the face and the hands. 2) The attire should not be form fitting, sheer or so eye-catching as to attract undue attention or reveal the shape of the body.
Hijabs don't do enough. They are too revealing. I can clearly see every woman's figure when they're wearing one. Astagfurallah. The only way to prevent temptations is to make women wear full bodied fat-suits or mascot costumes.
