I was once told by someone Halloween is haram because iss main log shaklain banate hain, those were the words they used. I wanted to ask them are cartoons haram too? Those are man/computer made shaklain after all as well. They won’t let their kids celebrate halloween but watching tv all day long is ok.

There’s a family that I know who will be all over pakistani and indian serials but they will thoo thoo at anyone that might have a photograph displayed in their home or even as a screen-saver on their cell phone.
What gives?
