well, my question was kind of specific to Pakistan.

Let me put the same question in another way, if you were looking for a rishta for your son/brother, isn’t it that if you have a choice, you’ll bring a bride who is a doctor compared to, say, a software engineer?

I don’t see why one is better than the other in this case… both require education, no?

a better comparison would be.. “doctor” vs matric/FA/BA pass I guess…
